Spine Tingling on a Sunday

OOOOHHH ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, fans of allllllll ages.
All is right with the world.
Why is that you ask????? Oh because this morning, while sitting on my porch, sipping my Roadhouse Joe from Zingerman's and reading the New York Times (damn straight) I heard the unmistakable sweet sounds of scales being played by the Michigan Marching Band. Followed quickly by these wonderful refrains........

heaven.

My younger brother plays tuba in the MMB - They got WORKED yesterday and have another long day today; you'd never imagine how hard they have to work during the week or two leading up to kickoff.

Can't wait to get the season going, and there's no better way to get pumped than by listening to the band.

For those who really enjoy it, try heading over to Elbel on Friday night maybe ~8pm to catch a run-through of pre-game and the half-time show, and sometimes a performance by the drumline. Of course, you have to be at Revelli early Saturday for the step show if you like the drums... oh man, less than a week!

yes we will be attending the Miami of OH game as well thanks to a friend of 616. If anyone is having any tailgating that day and want some extra people let me know. Will have the family in tow and will probably leave OH at 530ish in the morning and get to A2 about 9am hopefully if all goes well. Get parked and then get crazy. Unfortunately crazy in a very family oriented way (read no beer :(.. ) Looking forward to it like crazy. Will be putting up a new pic of the little one soon as I get her in a MI hoodie for the season.

Ohhhhhh, I am so excited! Still no tickets in the mail, I have to call the athletic department tomorrow. I wish I knew where I was sitting this year! The band is one reason that I love to go to the games, I always stay after the game to watch the bands go back on to the field, they are incredible!

GOO BLUE!!!

I don't think that they know your theme song.....

Actually Whet - rrod is making them learn Country Roads. First they take the coach from WVU, then the road unies, finally the theme song.
