Bye Week: Open Thread

" This is not my beautiful house! This is not my beautiful wife!"
--David Byrne, Talking Heads

BLAH. Comcast has been out most of the morning. SORRY for the delay.
What to do on this bye-week??? Well, many of us will be mowing the lawn or grocery shopping or will be forced to spend "quality" time with the family. Bah-humbug.
For those still available to watch---The Men of Troy (who just spotted the Bucs 7 points) are taking on mighty tUOS , Navy takes on Rutgers (with our own Andy in the stands), and Sparty BETTER do it's job today against Emu and crew.

Comcast, or a wi-fi hotspot permitting, I'll be back on-line to comment, cajole, and otherwise avoid household chores with the rest of you!

What ? No picture or quote?

It is noon (my time) and we just ordered beeer number 3. Breakfast was weak. Lot's of skinny dudes walking arounf in ice cream suits.

Spent too much money on Navy football gear.

No redbull yet. Only after 5. All is good. Michigan isn't going to lose today.

happy math for Michigan:

Purdue tied up with Central
Iowa down to Pitt
A well-coached Troy could beat tUOS

As stated in previous thread but will state again since it relates to this one. Big ups to WVU for having the same record as MI with "veteran" guys. Also anothe big up to O$U for playing down to the level of a totally overmatched opponent AGAIN. I see them falling to 16th or so in this week's AP. Boo bye weeks because they are just boring and boo my sinuses since they clog my head with mucus. Oh well going out for the anniversary tonight. Getting hammered ass drunk and eating good hibachi Japanese food. mmmm.

congrats on the wedding anniversary!

Rutgers (THE state u of new jersey) leads Navy 14-6 at half.

Both bands are pathetic. I am pretty sure my kids high school band is better.

It is past 5 and I can't find any red bull... Grrrrrrr

We have been married 3 years and going. I wouldn't watch the LSU Auburn game anyway probably. I'll settle in to a martini or two at dinner and then come home and nurse some Cabo Wabo while....

How old does it make me that I looked @ tractor before I noticed girl? Sigh.

Grats- BAH

FYI- on "Buckeye Fever" recap show tonight (seriously, that's really the name), highlight play of the game was the punt @ end of 3rd qtr that pinned Troy deep that led to Troy's bad punt that set up late TD that gave tosu 2 score lead (finally) in 4th qtr.

How long do you think the producers sat around going "is that really the best we got?" before they gave up & led w/ that?

Tis not been a happy week in cowtown. Don't worry- by Monday the "Pryor for Heisman" campaign will be in full swing.

T-9,

Thank you for the "Spawn Points."

And in the enduring words of every postgame interview from any coach of your choice:

"Glad to get this win. The competetion was tough and came out ready. I thought it was a solid effort, fortunately it held up throughout the entire contest. The referee kept the contest under control did a fine job of calling it fairly. This one is now in the past and it's time to get ready for the next contest."
