While we all wait for Cripple Fight 2008, the rest of the college football universe anxiously awaits for Ohio State to play USC. Much like the last two National Championship games, I am torn on what I should be doing. On one hand, I want to see the Big Ten represented in a positive light, which means that I should cheer for the Buckeyes. On the other hand, I want so badly to see that team in scarlett and grey ground into little tiny bits, which means that I cheer for the Trojans.
More than likely I will just sit back and wish that we had the talent level of either team.

I never openly cheer for tosu but would love to see them undefeated at the end of November and set up the Biggest Upset II when Michigan beats them in Columbus. With all of the comparisons that were made between Bo and Rich Rod's first years, why not keep that dream alive? Michigan will have to improve from what we see now, but who knows?
Screw that. I want to see The $ucknuts crushed. I don't like USC at all but I am beyond sick of the over-hype of TO$U by the entire nation and am waiting for their third straight loss to a national power. It will also be nice that with this loss TO$U will be entirely taken out of the NC spotlight no matter how they play the rest of the year because no one will want to see them in a big game again. I look for USC to put them away early in this game and pour it on.
I really don't think that whoever loses this game will be knocked out.
Either one of these teams lose here and run the table for the rest of the season and make a case for NC Game.

In a normal season Andy yes I believe either team loses and runs out and they are still in it. But with 2 years in a row of seeing O$U routed in the NC game if they get routed again it will just mean horrible things for the Big Ten and O$U even if they go 11-1 will still never get higher than 4th. Unless everyone loses 3 games and there's no other option. This is the NC game for O$U this year a the rest of the country is sick of them as well.
Also T9 if you are putting the Trojans on the nuts you may want to take a look at the directions a little closer.
Hammm, I am sick of to$u hype also and would agree that seeing them get their buckeye nuts handed to them would be great. As much as I would like to see the Biggest Upset II, I am not sure Michigan can pull it off this year and would not want to$u going to the NC game after beating Michigan. If USC can shut them out than two things may happen. First, the game would probably be a blowout and second, the USC Songgirls might not cheer for the wrong team.

if osu loses with beanie barely playing, then runs the table, no way they are kept out of the title game soley because of the usc loss. unless it's a total blowout

Sorry, being part of the Big Ten isn't enough for me to root for tosu. Never will be.
