Thank you all for helping me decide what to do for the USC/TUOS game. There really wasn't any decision. I guess at the end of the day I have two favorite teams: Michigan and whoever is playing the Buckeyes.
Too bad Michigan did not hold up their end of the bargin. Losing to Notre Dame, while not unexpected -- sucks. At this point, 4 wins this season is going to be tough.
As expected, USC looked awesome and blasted the Buckeyes 35-3. The talent level the Pete Carroll has assembled is incredible. Mitch Mustain is their 3rd string QB !!!
If the Trojans lose a game this year it will because they beat themselves with mistakes.

Albeit a loss the ND game is not completely a let down to me. They beat themselves more than ND did anything to win the game. This was also the first game that showed that the offense is getting drastically better. There will be growing pains for sure but at least they are doing what they are supposed to do and getting better each and every week. I think the hype and the pressure had a lot to do with the turnovers. There are a lot of young young kids on this team that have never been through anything remotely similar. Pat Forde wrote a good article on ESPN about how basically MI handed them the game on a silver platter and ND is still a mediocre team who will get throttled if they make it to a bowl game.
While I consider openly rooting against the suckeyes to be unseemly (far too Sparty like for my tastes), enjoying their losses is another matter altogether.
Columbus was one quiet city today. Then the trail of Ike blew thru & 1/3 the area lost power, further adding to the gloom.
Personally, I'm embarassed by our loss to ND- no excuse for that level of crappy play- but we had all braced for this sort of game. It's a new scheme with new players. We're all looking @ 8-4 as a "good" season.
Tosu? This was supposed to be THE year. All those guys skipping the draft to come back & win the big one? All the stories about the vows in the locker room in New Orleans to not leave tosu like "that" but to stay one more season to avenge the bcs debacle?
And then to be so completely depantsed 3rd game of the season. To be so exposed as the fraud they've been since for 3 or 4 seasons now? That's gonna leave a mark.
Turns out Vernon Goldstein's the brightest bulb outta the bunch.
The Michigan loss sucked but not as much as it could have. What did they have 6 fumbles and two very costly interceptions? Take away the points from that and Michigan would have one (Yeah, if I had bought Lotto tickets with the nubmers I know today, I'd be rich).
As for the Buckeyes, they had a lead briefly.
