What is your take?

Over/Under 4.5 sacks for Michigan on Jimmah!!!

Catie said...

Vegas has Michigan by 1, another site (who has been very accurate so far this season has ND by 8.

My flag is flying, and I am on pins and needles!

GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My prediction is PAIN.

Either Jimmah or mine.

while not Ike-like up here (and just btw thoughts/prayers to all) it is POURING and has been all night long. Good for the running game and may spare us the pain of watching Threet pass....????...

G-d love ya Andy: A Tennyson quote for Game Day? Priceless!

And--best sign held by a fan so far today on College Game Day?
"HEY OJ--Say HI to Clarrett for us"

If we're gonna win this, the defense has to make some plays.

Andy said...

Watching Sparty v Florida Atlantic makes me ill.

TitleIX said...

agreed.
flip over to Mizzou to see a real team.
or Iowa v. Iowa St.

Flag has been flying all week. Earlier in the week I noticed my neighbors had put an O$U dog tag on our dog's collar. So I went over and put their O$U flag upside down. It has been that way 4 days now and counting. :)

TitleIX said...

dude--
you realize that an "O" looks the same right side up or upside down....right?
cuz seriously, anyone messes with my dog gets more than a flag flipping...

Catie said...

Oh hell yeah, you mess with my dog like that and......something serious needs to occur!

Adam, our strength this season is our defense (if they choose to show up) We are making some nice hot chili and getting ready to settle in....I am with Andy, PAIN, either mine or Emu's, hoping for the latter!

Cal player puked green stuff after a big hit. Gross. I am sure it will be on YouTube soon.

I do not like green eggs and ham, I do not like them Sam I am

The team that makes the fewest errors is the one that's going to win. Given our two quarterbacks, I don't think that team will be Michigan.

However, football is played on grass (or artificial turf) and not on paper so here's hoping that Michigan wins.

never mind re: the Iowa game.
They are TERRIBLE too.....

hey all, enjoy the game. I'll be off line watching with family and their friends. They think I'm a major nut already becuz I text message like a fiend. Can only imagine the general ridicule if I tried to blog from there too!!!

GO BLUE
BEAT THE IRISH

Sparty pulling away in the 4th quarter. Beating FAU now 17-0.

Javon Ringer for the Heisman ?

Adam said...

Catie,

I know that's our strength. We have a lot of talent at basically every position except O-Line and QB (which are the most important ones). And because ND breaks against good defense, that's gonna be our trump card.

On an unrelated note, I'm watching the Maryland-Cal game right now. It's a lot of fun.

Catie said...

OMFG! Defense needs to SHOW UP! At least threet is completing some passes, although not great, at least not 10 feet over the receivers head!

PAINFUL!

Bigasshammm said...

worst

start

ever

And the flag is an O with Ohio State scrawled over it so it's very subtle that it's upside down. Just like it was subtle that they put the tag on our dog. Our dog loves my neighbor so it's not an afront to him.

This game sucks though they are not prepared at all.

Ugh. Just awful.

Catie said...

Worst start ever, but they are working at it, The offense does look better than they did the first two games (aside from the 2 scores on turnovers) but where the hell is our defense????

Purdue is creaming Oregon.

Andy said...

Halftime. I can not image how our kick return team could have done worse to start the game.

Fat Charlie is on a cart.

Imagine the horror on the face of the ND player when he saw Jabba the Hut falling on him.

I have been texting with T9 all game. She still has hope. Mine has basically faded with each yellow flag.

Bigasshammm said...

The secondary is awful. It's been awful all year and Weis being the Jaba offensive guru he is notices this and continues to throw down field. The refs are very skeptical as The touchdown catch by Greg Matthews was a catch and should have been reviewed to be one but that was the shortest review of any play I have seen in years. Aside from that the secondary is just awful and is either giving up a big completion or interfering thus drawing a penalty and first down. MI definitely looks like the superior team though overall and maybe/hopefully by the end they can pull it off. Barring anymore mistakes by the offense. Mcguffie is starting to look like a juggernaut.

At least O$U will lose.

Bigasshammm said...

The hope should still be there since realistically MI has outplayed them.Take away the 14 gimme points and it's MI 17-14. They will need a quick stop to start the 3rd then onward with the offense. Threet needs to stop "Malletting" the ball right out of his hands. (Gimme credit for that one when it catches on big) but otherwise he has looked fantastic.

On a side note I'm done trying to post on Mgoblog. I have left comments before (as a member) and have never seen them show up. Now on this live blog thing I leave 4 comments and not one of them is shown? Done I am.

Back to drinking and the game. I'm on beer 6 so by time the O$U game starts I should barely be able to tell the teams apart.

Go Blue.

Is it just me? Or has everyone else seen enough of Nick Sheridan to last them the rest of the season?

Bigasshammm said...

Well after 6 turnovers I'm done watching. Nick Sheridan should never take another snap of college football. Right when they came back from the commercial I looked at my wife and said "her comes interception number 2." Low and behold Sheridan lofts a ball to the moon which is then picked off. He's awful, Threet is pretty decent and will grow with the offense, but when you turnover the ball 6 times you will lose regardless. It was good run. Bowl game is highly in question now as they have Wisconsin and Illinois next which are two very hard games and could easily be 1-4 after 5 games.

oh well.

Beer!

At least O$U is going to get throttled. Only thing keeping me going. That and the fact that my wife is done with "her time." Que. Marving Gaye.

The game isn't over and I need some healing.

Not so fast my friend.

I'm banking on the underdog status to pull this one out. Also, I'm hoping USC let down emotionally after news about Wells.

In a word: Miracle.

I agree with Whet. I am expected a good showing today by the bucks. too much confidence right now on the USC side of the world.

What a day.

I don't know which was worse: the game, or watching the game on the Notre Dame Network.

It'll sound like sour grapes, but I still think we were/are the better team.

Random thoughts:
The secondary is killing us early.

Can we finally put Sheridan out to pasture? It wasn't over when they put him in, but it was over by the time they pulled him.

Threet's a gamer. I think he'll grow into a strong leadership presence...as long as he can stay on the field.

The offense isn't quite there, but you can see it coming. In a year (or less?), McGuffie, Stronum, Shaw, even Threet are going to be scary.

I don't mind struggling, because we seem to be progressing (albiet slowly), but it's hard to lose to ND.

Catie said...

I am glad to hear others talk about putting Sheridan out to pasture. Threet is obviously the better QB, let him get in and STAY, give him a chance to get into the groove. I do think that we lost because of the turnovers. It was great to see (oh how awful that I would even say this!!!!!) Jabba get pummeled by his own player. I do see us getting better each game, however I have little hope that we keep our bowl streak alive. :o( Rodrigez presser looked painful. His head down, eyes averted, that had to be a painful moment for him.

Mikoyan said...

There's still plenty of season left.

6 turnovers killed Michigan. That fumble ran back to put it 35-17 did it in. The 2 interceptions definately didn't help and pretty much sealed the game.

TitleIX said...

flashes of brilliance.
this offense requires precision and execution---no way frosh are going to be good at it yet.
we WILL get better.

we completely beat ourselves.
however---we are a team on the rise. ND remains mediocre.
Sparty will have their way with them big time.

Agree with Catie: RR looked like someone punched him in the stomach too.
Those who stay will be champions...............

Merrick 561 said...

I must concur with T9... Our offense has shown that it can produce and be great at it. However it is inconsistent which is the youth showing through. We will continue to get better. ND on the other hand looked horrid against SD St. and got A TON of help from our mistakes today, and they will be exposed for what they are in time.
