Just in case any of our readers are planning on heading down to Columbus to witness what happens on Saturday, I thought it would be a good idea to put together a travel warning for Michigan fans that have never been to Ohio State.Despite what has happened in the past, tOSU President Gordon Gee does not "expect major trouble" from rioting buckeye fans. He is banking on two years worth of good-sportsmanship lectures, an early kickoff and a Michigan team that's quite frankly not very good. Gee is also convinced that the troublemakers that caused his school so much embarrassment in 2002 are no longer students -- saying they've gone on to become "reality television show participants or Alaskan fishermen."
Just in case, here are a couple of suggestions. 1) Don't drive a car with Michigan plates 2) Stay in groups of three or more 3) If possible, wear neutral colors while walking to the stadium 4) Don't argue with drunk people and 5) Avoid fires and police dressed in riot gear.
At all costs it is highly recommended that you avoid these Spawn of MZone posters*:

* if by any chance these pictures are actually our buckeye friends, I need to go buy some lotto tickets
No matter what, please be careful down there. Come home soon.

Holy shit...Are they working on a new Road Warrior movie set in Ohio or something? Hmmm....Barren Wasteland of Australia or the Barren Wasteland of Ohio....which is worth?
Yes I agree that there is no reason to travel to see a game at O$U. Maybe if you're in your 50s and up they MIGHT leave you alone but if you are of college age and head down there prepare for some shit. Lets all remember the PSU student who was assaulted with beer and pretty much anything else that could be thrown at him while walking to the game a few years ago. (Saw the clip on Youtube and it was embarrassing for any sports fan) I wouldn't be caught dead there and I live in OH. Good luck to anyone making the journey.
In other news my "Hatred " update is on hold as I took last night off of work. I went out to my car in the middle of the day to go pick my step kids up from school and found it wouldn't start. After further inspection I pulled the intake manifold cover off and found that a rodent had made a nice little home for himself on top of my engine Monday night. I guess the 4 and a half inches of snow were too cold for him and my warm engine was too tempting to miss. He then proceeded to engorge himself on my wiring causing my engine to short out. Therefore I had to run out when my wife got home and get some D-con and some wires and redo my wiring in the bitter cold of my garage last night. All should be well now and I hope those little F-ers like the treats I left them.
Andy,
Just buy one lotto ticket. You're on a roll.
My attorney/justice whore will be contacting you.
We want the negatives and the name of the PI you used.
That is exactly how I pictured all three of them! ;o)
Whets, you always have a witty comeback!
Catie, Catie, Catie,
You know scarlet is not my color. With my eyes, that's just too much red.

I don't know who's dotting the "i" at this game but it won't be whetstonebuck. At tryouts, the best he could do was put a period after the last "O".

Damn camera phones!
wv = "cowness"
Is that some slap at Sparty?
Ah Ohio-guy that was the video i remember. I'm amazed I could have sworn it was O$U students. I'm sure you can find many a video that shows O$U students in forms of douchebaggery towards opposing fans.
Hello Foxxynews!!!!
close - very close - i was just out of the picture in that one
actually here's more recent picture of me...
me last week
Srudoff won't be dotting the "i" either. Nobody wanted the dot to resemble the Goodyear Blimp.
and for gosh sakes STAY AWAY FROM ANYONE HOLDING POWDERED DONUTS.
Seriously.
(shout out to Yost!!!!!)
Geez I hate that flat damn state! Same barn in view for weeks as you pass through. Ugly women and Ohio guy too!
tom c, have you ever been to southern or eastern ohio?
I'm going to guess no
You would guess wrong. I travel I 77 home. The river is cool. Try 80/90. So damn flat that houses are level by dint. The slight hills you might encounter when leaving Hillbilly heaven (WV) don't last long. Seems like I thought Lima was kinda interesting as a child though. Don't remember why.
Ohh and I have two sisters that graduated from tuoosu.u.u.u.... I'm told they suck as well.
29 out of Ohio's 88 counties are considered part of Appalachia (google Appalachian Ohio)
I've been through a lot of those counties, and I can tell you that the 77 corridor has fewer (and smaller) hills than anywhere else I've been in the area. Try driving 23 from Chillicothe to Portsmouth, or Ohio route 7 from East Liverpool down to Steubenville if you want to see some hills. Also, there is a reason why you can't see Cincinnati's skyline from 71 or 75 until you're less than a mile away from it
If you want to see a truly flat state, go to Kansas or Nebraska
80/90 is very falt until you almost get to Youngstown. I-71 which goes straight to Cbus is also horribly flat. There are some hilly parts of Southern OH but nothing like the Poconos or anything in PA. In that regard though it doesn't look any different then the parts of MI I've seen also. I will say though the drive to A2 on 80/90 is much more enjoyable than the drive to Cbus on 71. There is something about 71 that makes it one of the worst roads to travel on.
Ohio is pretty nice once you get out of the middle. But the middle of Ohio could give Michigan's thumb a run for it's money for general boringness......
Ohio Guy,
you get half credit.
yes, the SE part of the state is hilly. however, you can draw aline along I-71 and put the NW half into the "flat" classification.
Moraine Ohio (just south of Dayton and aptly named Moraine as that's where the glaciers stopped) north to Toledo west to Indiana generally makes Kansas look rolling. BGSU is in Wood County, to which I-75 runs adjacent. when they built the highway, ODOT built a "sledding hill" near their football stadium (you can see it from the highway). it's about twice the height of a typical highway interchange.
it's also the tallest topographical point in the county.
what do you mean half credit? I pointed out that 29 out of 88 counties are hilly. I never said anything about the rest of the state, because the rest of those counties are flat. I know that. I live in one of them.
I think it's funny that someone from Michigan was calling Ohio flat...I mean pot meet kettle...(except for some parts of the UP)
When he brought it up I felt compelled to mention we're not entirely flat, which is rare when it comes to Midwestern states.
