It is time to temporarily turn our attention to something other than the train-wreck of a football program we have right now. The 14th ranked Michigan hockey team plays in the College Hockey Showcase this weekend. First they travel to #1 ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday night. They follow that up on Saturday night by heading to Madison for the Wisconsin Badgers. As wierd as this sounds, neither Minnesota or Wisconsin skate in the same hockey conference as Michigan. The game on Friday night will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

Yay televised hockey.
pretty soon it'll be time for CCHA play. Gotta love the CCHA....a conference of both large and small schools from Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.....oh yeah......and Nebraska and fucking Alaska.
Check the schedule. CCHA play has already started (since October). Out of conference games tend to get sprinkled in the holidays with these tourneys.
Michigan has already beaten Ohio State twice. They play again (this time in Columbus) in February.
If you have never seen a hockey game at Yost, you should try to go to one. It is very exciting and Michigan has been very successful over the years. If nothing else, it is fun to see all of the banners hanging from the rafters for all of the championships they have won. It is much better in person at Yost, but I will be watching them play against Minnesota on TV.
Hockey is the sport that will benefit most from hi-def TV. I can't watch an NHL or College hockey game anymore unless it is on one of my hi-def channels.
Thank GOD the BTN is in hi-def.
I came back to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving in case I do not get another chance to log on today. Hope everyone has a great day watching the Lions on their quest for the perfect no win season.
WV: olord I guess that sums up the Michigan football season quite nicely. Regardless of how things went it is still great to be a Michigan Wolverine.
