...in hockey. The Wolverines swept a pair of weekend games against the Buckeyes at Yost. Including a 6-1 pummeling on Saturday night. In his 25th season, Red Berenson's team is ranked #8 in the country (with a 6-2 record) and keeps on winning despite numerous injuries. They travel to Fairbanks for a pair of games next weekend against the Alaska Nanooks. How Alaska is a member of the CCHA I will never understand? That is one hell of a weekend roadtrip. The Michigan Men's soccer team also beat Ohio State 1-0 on Saturday in Ann Arbor. Senior goalie Patrick Sperry recorded his fourth shutout of the season and set a program record for career conference shutouts with five.
I admit it, I am a masacist. I will continue to watch this Michigan football team, even though the season is swirled down the toilet several weeks ago. Going into the season -- my expectations were low, but not 2-10 low. Unlike Sparty fans in the last couple of decades, we really don't have a basketball program to ease the pain of a pathetic football team. I am here to tell you, there are still plenty of spaces on the Michigan Hockey bandwagon. While I can't promise a NCAA championship, Yost Ice Arena it is a great place where Michigan fans can focus their passion and have fun.

Definitely get into hockey season. Nothing like seeing a hockey game live.
uh, hockey is our real sport, anyway, right? right?
i have decided to definitely go to the NU game now. i want to be there when we hit bottom.
I will also be at the Northwestern game. We should have a M-zone tailgate! Will they be showing much hockey on the BTN or will I suffer through only being able to watch a couple games a year?
i think your football players take out your hockey players better than osu's hockey players do.
Hang in there wolverine fans, 2012 will be here soon and you guys will be back again!
I will be at the Northwestern game as well. It'll be my first trip to the Big House. let me know where the M-zone tailgate will be, I'd love to stop by.
sru,
philosophy quiz-
which is worse?
to change directions, go 2-10, and realize you've hit bottom w/ the only direction left being "up"?
or to keep a coach, go 10-2, and realize you've hit the top w/ the only direction left being "down"?
this was supposed to be "the team", "the year". the epitome of what sweaterboy had to offer. and it ain't half good enough to get to the top.
just where do you go from here?
i'll take 10-2 with a true freshman quarterback who is just going to keep getting better and better all day long
and so would you
especially when the rest of the brew crew gets to play next year, plus the amazing class we just pulled in this year
i wouldn't trade places with you guys over the next 5 years for anything
even when les miles is introduced as the successor to the george w bush of coaches in 2011
ok, so the senior laden, preseason #1, 18 returning starter team get whupped by USC and loses at home to PSU, but next couple of years are gonna be BETTER(?) because you have a great incoming recruiting class?
that's supposed to be the Olentangy flowing thru campus, not DeNial...
no beanie against USC
true freshman qb against psu - also, hate to sound like a michigan fan, but on the play immediately before pryor's fumble, beanie had a first down by a good 2 ft - spot put them inches short for some unknown reason. beanie gets that correct spot and osu doesn't need a qb sneak on the next play - still could have lost of course but sucks to see something like that.
again - i wouldn't switch places with you guys for anything
your best hope right now is that clemson or tennessee makes a crappy hire this offseason and comes looking for rodriguez to break his contract in 2011
"no beanie" for usc ???
so you'd lost 35-13 instead?
lmfao!
face it- you peaked. this was "the year". humiliated by the trojans, beat by psu's second string qb, 2nd place in the conference, and praying that Boise St and Utah don't BOTH win out so that you can still get in a BCS bowl is THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN.
this is our worst season. this is your best. we'll get better. you won't.
sorry. i wouldn't trade w/ you either- we just got rid of a coach whose game had gone stale and who could no longer compete w/ the truly big programs. you can keep yours.
the great thing is that by trying to rip on tressel, you're stating that michigan isn't, nor has been, a 'big program' since 2001
duh. you may have noticed we changed coaches as a result of it.
take a close look at our slide. you're gonna look back in about 5 years and find yourself standing in same spot Tennessee's in today.
