NFL Week Thirteen

Wolverine's in the NFL update for the week:

• The Arizona Cardinals clinched the NFC West division title when they defeated the St. Louis Rams, 34-10. WR Steve Breaston led the team with seven receptions and 90 yards. DT Gabe Watson added a tackle helping the team qualify for the NFL playoffs for the first time since 1998.

• Green Bay Packers Charles Woodson started his second career game at safety. He made six tackles during a 24-21 loss to the Houston Texans.

• New York Jets LB David Harris returned from an injury and registered a season-high 13 tackles. CB Ty Law added 4 tackles and K Jay Feeley added 2 extra points. The Jets fell to San Francisco 24-14.

• Cincinnati Bengals LB Dhani Jones leads the team in tackles added nine more. RB Chris Perry had one carry for no yards. CB Leon Hall tied a season-high with seven stops and recovered a fumble in a 35-3 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

• Pittsburgh Steelers LB Lamarr Woodley made 5 tackles in an exciting win over the Cowboys. LB Larry Foote added another tackle.
• New York Giants WR Amani Toomer did not shoot himself in the leg at a night club and made 2 catches for 25 yards as his team lost the the Eagles. (HT: BAH)
• Philadelphia Eagles WR Jason Avant added another catch to his career high season total of 25 in the win over the Giants.
• Cleveland WR Braylon Edwards made three catches for 38 yards. The Brownies lost again.
• Tampa Bay LB Cato June had 2 tackles and RB BJ Askew had 3 carries and a reception in a Monday Night loss to Carolina.

MGoBlue.com does a decent job in giving me the highlights. It takes a little time to figure out things like Chris Perry getting a single carry with no yards. But it is better than listening to people on conference calls.

I always thought Breaston was "too small" to be a NFL WR. I thought maybe kick returns tops. That's what... the last 3 weeks he's lead the team with recs.
It's nice to see him doing well.
