Caught this on msnbc's website and felt the need to share. I know it's not sports related, but it is all about what makes Ann Arbor special. Zingy's was a noobie when I was an undergrad and it's just amazing to see how things have changed (or not) from the small house on Detroit Street. Enjoy.

I use to trek in the snow and freezing weather on Sunday's to get a #27. While the food is good, the place is overly hyped and over priced. But that's what great marketing does for a place. People keep telling me Amer's is better.
That is an argument I've heard a number of times over. I agree that Amer's is a standard deli with fine tasting food.
But--Zingerman's is a unique gatronomical experience, local and artisanal in nature. And it is way more than just a deli these days.
And yes, it is pricey and yet completely worth it--particularly since they give back to the community in so many ways.
Back in the day, I used to think Zingerman's was worth it. Not so much anymore.
Zingerman's is great, but I can't say I ever get cravings for anything in particular.
Now, Crazy Jim's on the other hand is a much better reason to miss Ann Arbor.
Nice going by T9 on this post.
We got a mention in the A2 Chronicle
