Big Win at Yost

After getting swept in Oxford in Novemeber the Michigan Hockey team smoked Miami 5-1 last night. The game on Friday night was postposed because of weather relaterd structural damage at Yost. Coming into the game, Miami was ranked #8 (Michigan was ranked #11). With the win, we have won five straight games.

The Wolverines jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first 5 minutes and never looked back. Hot Goalie Bryan Hogan made 25 saves.

Friday's game against Miami will be made up today at 4PM. No TV coverage. The game will be web-streamed live on MGoBlue.com

I love that camera angle for any hockey game. MGoBlue has a really cool one of a M goal going in and the Miami goalie lunging for it.

Setting up that remote is tough. Not sure I would want to run the risk of losing a $1000 lens to get that image.

Awesome. Great game in HD this morning from the Bball team as well. I start shopping this week for my big 50incher. I was given the go ahead to basically spend all our tax return money on updating our home entertainment. 50 inch PS3 new stereo surround and an electric fireplace will be going in in a month or so.

BAH,
not to second guess, but you can get an xbox 360 (which carries all or most of the games you can get for a ps3) and a really good blue ray dvd player for less than the cost of a ps3.

and the xbox is supposed to be a better gaming system (according to the 15 year old son, whom i consider an expert!).

I was at the game today and they played even better than on Saturday. Hogan got a shutout and had to face way to many shorthanded situations. It was a great game.

I've been a huge avid gamer for my entire life I guess you could say and I wouldn't own an Xbox360 if one was given to me free. Sure it as a system only costs 200 compared to the PS3s 400 but you don't get a Blue Ray player for that cost and have to buy it separate. Also while the Xbox360 did start out as the better gaming platform of the next gen consoles I think you will see the balance of power start to shift this ear. Xbox rushed their console to the floor in order to try n compete with SOny and in doing so they put out an inferior product. Working at UPS you would not believe the amount of them I see on a weekly basis that are being returned for the Red Ring Of Death. Since the Xbox has been out longer more accessible to game designers it naturally has more games which makes it everyone's pick for best system. Now that the PS# has been out for a little while this year is supposed to be it's biggest year yet for titles. Playstation has always had the best games under their license in my opinion and will probably continue to do so. Games like Gran Turismo and the Final Fantasy games to start. Also I believe the best video games ever made in the Metal Gear series. Most any other game aside from Halo you can get on the PS3 as well.
360 may be fine but I'm a PS3 kinda guy.
