Colin Cowherd has amnesia

The internet is a funny place. You can get every idea and perspective in the world, if you want to look hard enough.
ESPN Radio show host and original idea thief Colin Cowherd is back on my radar screen. No, this time he has not ripped off a joke that Yost created, attempted to bring down a sports blog, or even jumped to an incorrect conclusion about a tragic murder.

Listen:

Colin Cowherd on his ESPN radio show last week about regrettable emails
For those of you that do not know the history of the MZone story:

1) Yost created a pretty funny post about Vince Young and the Wonderlic on the original MZone.
2) Cowherd used the bit on his show, without giving Yost or the MZone credit.
3) Yost (and the readers) respond by sending Cowherd emails seeking credit.
4) Cowherd fires back with a less than gracious response.
5) Yost (and readers) escalate to ESPN ombudsman.
6) Cowherd gives MZone Credit.

Now it appears that Colin Cowherd doesn't recall that he stole used an idea from someone else, he doesn't remember that he did not give them credit, and he seemingly forgot he was forced to acknowledge the MZone for coming up with the original idea. Instead he only recalls that he sent an email that he regrets to "that guy" that was taunting him.
He actually blames Yost for "snitching" on him and "running to daddy". Essentially because of Yost, he is not NOT ALLOWED to respond to listener emails. He claims a wall needs to exist between "fans and the media". Wow.
I think it is pretty safe to say that Colin Cowherd is the radio version of Drew "Ass-Clown" Sharp. His radio show is nothing more that an annoying verbal right handed jab designed to grab a response. As such, my response is provided by Johnny Cash at the top of the post. Luckily I have a satellite radio in my car and I been able to avoid listening to Cowherd since the MZone incident.

Thanks to Greg at MVictors for posting this and hostin the audio. His blog has been on my daily rotation for over a year now - if it is not on yours, it should be.

yeah, I guess plagarism is equivalent to the regrettable e-mail in Cowterd's universe.

what's really sad is he's blaming Yost (and the incident) for ESPN's ban on him emailing back fans.

from what i recall, when Yost first heard about Cowherd stealing the wonderlic joke, Yost asked commenters/fans to email Cowherd and ESPN's ombudsman. some fans received outrageous responses from Cowherd, at least one of which Yost linked to the site.

ESPN has since banned Cowherd from emailing, not merely because of his theft of material for the show (which had nothing to do w/ email) but because the immature SOB sent out ranting, rude, and incriminating email responses when he was called on his theft.

so the jackass not only glosses over the the theft of the wonderlic schtick, but he then blames his email ban on it, when it was his own response/emails that led to the ban.

what a dick.

This guy is such a tool and his name just leaves way too much room for getting me in trouble. I have been trying to decide between the following nick names for him:

Colin Coward
Colin Cowturd
Colin Cownerd

I think I like Colon Cowturd the best.
