Morgan Trent is an All Star Ironman

Tomorrow night is the 2009 Under Armour Senior Bowl. The game will be played in Mobile, Alabama. If you don't get the NFL Network, this will be your loss.

Michigan seniors Morgan Trent and Tim Jamison will play on the North Team in what will be their last college football game. This week of practice is a great opportunity for both of these guys to catch the eye of an NFL team as they seek to play at the next level.

I want to thank the efforts of Morgan Trent and the rest of the Michigan seniors. This was a difficult year and not exactly what you guys signed up for. The hard work, sweat, and dedication you have showed the program has been great. Good luck as you pursue your future careers.

well done.

Tim is going to have to wait. I need at least 75 posts from his own personal army of insult detectives to motivate me into action for this one.

No, I am just waiting for The DETERMINER to tell me what to do.

Respect him, but Trent is still not worth my desktop... I like the Gerald Ford one plenty.

ok--new rule
just like we are not discussing high school students who may or may not commit to play football at the University of Michigan until they actual sign letters of intent, I hereby call a moratorium on discussing that other blog and some of it's contributors who have helped us all inadvertently ignite an internet holy war.
really.
I'm done.

so---
I'm now the determiner too and I will delete any references to our raging slap fight over how one treats a Michigan helmet and my sartorial preferences.

SSF soon

T9.

I have a suggestion for a future SSF subject. You could do one on Gatorade since I am sure Tim Tebow was somehow involved in discovering it at Florida. Since he can land planes in the Hudson river, perform circumcisons (check out the prior post lower left corner) and is a Heisman winner, you know he figured out a way to travel back in time to do this. Just a thought.

Thanks GBB. That's a good idea, I'll put that one in the hopper

I watched a little of the Senior Bowl game last night on NFL Network. Tim Jamison started at left defensive end. He was getting off the ball well and pretty active.

Trent played with the second group on defense.

I am happy to report that everyone on all teams had the proper headgear decorations.

I don't quite understand how the split up the North & South for this game. Somehow Texas Tech was in the North and West Virginia was in the South.

I guess the good people in Mobile don't understand that the only reason the state of West Virginia exists is because the Northern states wanted to punish Virginia for the fighting in Civil War, so they carved off a large chuck of land and made it a new state. In any case, Pat White from WVU was named the MVP of the game leading his "south" team to a 35-18 win.

I usually do not watch these kind of games and since I was at the hockey game last night did not have a chance to see any of it anyway. I am happy to hear that there were no additional helmet issues. I wish Morgan Trent well in the draft but just do not think he will get drafted very highly.
