Sparty Speed Racer

I normally just glance over NBA blotter news -- because 1) at this point I think we only have two players in the Association (Jamal Crawford and Maceo Baston) and 2) NBA players are always saying and doing stupid things. But this one caught my eye...

Former Michigan State and current Phoenix Suns guard Jason Richardson was arrested in Scottsdale after local police caught him driving 55 mph above the limit with his unrestrained child in the car. The dude was going 90 MPH in a 35 zone with his 3 year old kid rolling around in the back seat. Wow.

Imagine that phone call to your wife ??? "Uhhhhh Honey, can you come and pick up Junior, I am going to jail for being a DUMBASS..."

Richardson was arrested and charged with reckless driving, excessive speeding and failure to use a child seat. His wife responded to the scene of the stop and took custody of the boy. He was released from jail after a few hours. The Suns responded by suspending him for one game (which costs him $111k).

Nice going Brah ! Sparty On !!

Being the latest thread on here I will post here: Got my PS3 last weekend. Playing the hell out of it. I have COD4 GT5 MGS4 Lego Star Wars and NCAA 09. If anyone wants to play any of these games or just has a PS3 in general add me as a friend Big-Ass-Ham.

I wish XBox360 and PS3 had some sort of online compatability mode so we could play each other.

Shorty gets the points with this entry:

"So I saw that Vince Papali(e) movie HERO and I thought, if he could do it, why no me? It's only Michigan State, am I right?"

{even though the movie was Invincible, starring Mark Wahlberg, you still get the points for random cultural reference that favors Philadelphia and makes fun of Sparty}

My bad on the movie reference, I was wingin' it. Agree, with the photo shop assessment, great.

Congrats Shorty. Well deserved. Since it is past midnight in Paris - you can get some sleep now !!

FYI - I did that photoshop late last night after about 7 Bass Ales and a dozen raw oysters in Old Town Alexandria.

I find that I do my most creative work when I can't see too straight.

And yes, I walked back to my hotel. No drinking and driving.

Thanks for the win T9. You guys and gals can have the beers while I'm away.

Andy,

I love Old Town Alexandria. Where did you imbibe?

You can have my share of the raw oysters. The only food I ever ate that didn't stay in my mouth long enough for my brain to register it as gross.

Beers at O'Connell's.
Beers + Oysters at Union Street Public House.

Sparty getting smoked tonight at Purdue on ESPN.

Is Union St. Pub the place with the dining room on the second floor?

My son used to live in Alexandria during his short lived career as a Washington, D.C. police officer. He loved Alexandria and misses that area but does not miss the police work. Have you ever driven past T.C. Williams High School? There is a sign on the front of the school for the state championship they won in Remember The Titans. It was pretty cool.
