Later this month, some NFL team is going to draft former Buckeye WR Brian "Howdy" Hartline. Several NFL draft experts even go as far as predicting he will go in the first day.Think Wes Welker with puppet strings.
Chances are (oh god, please let it be the Browns) someone is going to give this former popular TV marionette a chance to make money catching passes that Terrell Pryor could not deliver to him in Columbus. Hopefully which ever team takes him will have a training class on what not to do when a digital camera is pointed at you.

As I was looking around for more information on this - I ran into this photo from the 2008 Touchdown Club of Columbus banquet dinner. Yes, in case you are keeping score: same girl, same dress, same suit/shirt/tie combo. The future Mrs Hartline (Lindsay) must have decided to change her hair in the car driving over to the banquet hall and Hartline decided to put one of his Big Ten Championship rings onto his pinky.
If you have ever attended any of these type of "end of season" events you can can't blame the guy for wanting to have a little fun with his fiance before sitting on uncomfortable metal folding chairs, eating rubber chicken, and drinking lipton green tea from a plastic bottle.Word.

Some thoughts:
1. So much for Howdy Doody. That girl nullifies your intended insult.
2. Look how they're dressed. Class act. No back seat of the SUV groping for this pair.
3. Who do you know well enough to strike this pose for a photo? A photo you have to know your parents are going to see.

I think the girl is more of a "buckeye football player" feature than anything BH brings to the table.

H's definitely not going to go to the Browns. The last thing we need is another receiver. They were going to trade away Edwards before Stalworth ran over an old person. The Browns definitely need a LBer or more meat on the D line. I wouldn't be heartbroken if they picked Laurinitis even as a MI fan.
