Wallpaper Wednesday: QBs

The 2008 season not withstanding, the Michigan football program has been blessed with an incredible string of quarterbacks.

In my football watching lifetime, it started with Rick Leach and continued with Jim Harbaugh. Tom Brady overcame the doubters (and the Drew Henson fans) and Chad Henne started four seasons. Sandwiched between you have Steve Smith, Elvis Grbac, Brian Griese, and John Navarre.

I have no idea how well incoming freshman Tate Forcier is going to do. Based on what I saw at the Spring Game, his future looks bright as long as he stays healthy. I can only hope that he continues the tradition of great Michigan offensive leaders.

Driesbach? i sorta put him the "Chris Zurbrugg" category...

Driesbach is on the list only because of the 1995 Virginia game.

I was in school the same time as Zurbrugg. He was a girlfriend beating jerk.

I loved watching Todd Collins' deep ball when I was a kid. Grbac was the first I ever remembered seeing on TV (about 4). I also loved watching Drew Henson. We didn't win national titles after '97, but it felt as if we were competing with the elite crowd for them during those late 90's early 2000s'. Like we were capable, but just got upset here and there... no one was better than us during those days. Aside from the blip that was 2006, it has felt like a long time since we had teams as good as those Tom Brady, Drew Henson teams.

I remember when MGoBlog did a survey of the QBs for UM in the last couple decades and as I would've guessed, Henson was comprehensively rated the best with YPA and such. He had a 110mm cannon made out of depleted uranium where his right arm would have been, and he was as accurate as he was a winner. He was the most talented at that time and I feel would've been a top 5 pick had he stuck with football. He was better than Vick who was the other QB star at the time. We had Woodson for a while, and then Henson was to be the next great one. Damn Yankees, damn Henson. The C-bus Clippers suck.

Can I get a Lebron James MVP wallpaper request or is that hitting too close to home?

You won't be seeing Lebron wallpaper on this blog

It doesn't have to be on this blog. Can't deny his talent though. Sadly last night it appeared he was the only one on the team who showed up to play.

Yes, I agree he is a once-in-a-lifetime talent. He is incredible to watch.

I will be shocked if they don't win it all this year. Win 6 championships and I may even put him in front of Michael Jordan.

Added to his resume with last night's last second shot. He really hadn't made a game winner like that before. I thought they were going to go down 0-2 to Orlando and that the curse of Cleveland would be strong.
