Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the MZone closing down. After 350ish days of attempting to fill the gap -- I have come to understand why Yost made the decision that he did. I don't want to sound overly dramatic, but this can be a time consuming and challenging hobby. As we stand here today : T9 is no longer afraid of computers and still enjoys sharing her big scientific brain. I am still having fun making wallpapers and searching for acceptable Sunday Swimsuit entries. We have had well over 200,000 visits and we have done our best to keep the original MZone community we enjoyed so much together (yes, even our Buckeye friends) . If you are a long time poster - Thank You. If you have joined us in the last year -- welcome aboard and Thank You. If you are a silent reader - feel free to join in. This would would have ended a long time ago without you.
Yost: if you are reading this (I know you lurk out there in the shadows) the offer for you to "get back in the game" and become a regular contributor is still on the table. A one year vacation is plenty of time to fill the tanks. I know you are bored. Come back and enjoy Michigan's 2009 Redemption Tour with us. In the mean time we will keep the fire going.

Technically our anniversary is on the 24th. That is the day T9 created this site on Blogger. I am hoping she will jump out of a big cake on Wednesday for us to celebrate...

This is the epitome of Michigan Football in recent years.
When Lloyd left, we hired new a completely new coach with no ties to Michigan. What was going out was Bo's style of play, and coming in is the cool kid in town in the form of the coveted "spread offense".
Instead of continuing on the same path, we cut the ties to the old blog, bring in new blood, and while not out of tradition (Know Your Foes, etc), it has a definite change in writing style and content. Instead of Yost centric, grind it out way of writing (ever since Benny kinda went away, and Yost was right, in that sense to end it when he did), Spawn of Mzone has a new, dynamic, diverse and spread out set of contributors in T9 and Andy.
When one thing ends sometimes it gives chance for something wonderful to bloom. I believe we have seen it here, and I think soon, we'll see it in the Big House.

While producing content is a challenge (particularly during the summer), it is definitely fun to find something ridiculous to share.
Andy has carried most of the weight these past few months (yeah--I got issues) and for that I am grateful. His skills with photoshop are awesome.(although he did resort to T&A on Sundays...)

Happy Anniversary! I was so happy to hear that T9 and Andy took the reins on this, they could not have done a better job! It is nice to have maintained our community and added a few along the way!
I have been more absent than here the last few months, but July 1st I am donating a kidney to my father, so I should have plenty of time to surf around the internet during my recovery! A few healing pics might be in order for the female persuasion around the middle of July! :o)
