Now that I know he is not going to die - I will post this:South Florida kicker Maikon Bonani (yes, that is his real picture) is recovering at a local hospital after falling 35 feet from a ride while working at an amusement park.
After sending riders out of the station, Bonani thought the door might be unlocked and held on. As the gondola took off -- 35 feet above the ground -- he let go and dropped into a landscaped area. Ouch.
USF Coach Jim Leavitt told the St. Petersburg Times that he believed Bonani injured his T12 vertebra in the fall. "He's fine. The main thing here is that he didn't die, He isn't paralyzed."
Leavitt stated that if Bonani faced a long recovery, the kicker could redshirt this season.

This is a pretty goofy looking dude. I think I saw his face on the Tampa Bay mug shot list. By the way, I have seen the Columbus version. It was called the Coach Tressels's Dirty Thirty.....
This whole story gets a WTF?
um, does that patch of hair remind anyone else of anything else???
ewwwww.
Total cover-up. The real story reads as follows:
"South Florida kicker Maikon Bonani was injured this week during a non-sanctioned workout session. Maikon, or "Charlie" as he is affectionately known by his teammates, injured his T12 vertebra when the place holder, known only as "Lucy" pulled the ball away just as Maikon tried to kick it, resulting in Maikon flying up in the air and landing on his back. When reached for comment, Maikon said only "Good grief!" AP
Snoopy.. er.. Catie.. Nice job uncovering the real story.
