Glory Days

I've got nothing to share.

I miss John Cooper. Here are the highlights from his last regular season game AND our last win in Columbus.

Let's see, that would be nine years ago. Hmmm. It's gonna take a lot of chocolate milk to hydrate that dry spell.

So I went to the Dayton Air Show. I'll have to clean my mind's eye out. Every other person was wearing some sort of OSU peraphenalia. (Or so it seemed.

Mikoyan.... Is your blogger name related in anyway to the Soviet airplane designer? I was looking up some information for the Blue Angels airshow this weekend at Willow Run airport and somehow came across the name. The Russian MIG is named after him and his partner (Gurevich if I remember correctly) and the bureua they worked for was Mikoyan-i-Gurevich which is how the MIG name was created. Just curious......

Yes, as a matter of fact it is related to the Soviet Aircraft Design Bureau. Back in the early days of the internet, I was on a thing called IRC and I was looking for an aviation related nick. The cool names were taken, so I went for obscure. See, I'm a bit of a plane nut.

Anyways, Saturday was Dayton and yesterday was Willow Run. I love the Blue Angels....and their color scheme is pretty cool too.

Mikoyan... I thought I might be right about my guess. I also love airplanes and especially the Blue Angels and since I live about 3 miles from Willow Run we get to see them for free every two years when they are here for the airshow. We also get to see them for several days the week just prior during practice. They fly directly over our house during the show and are so low that you can see the pilots faces. Did you enjoy the show this weekend? It was limited due to the low ceiling but it was very cool anyway.

yes, the show was great. They did a great job of crowd control after the show on Sunday. Got everyone out in a relatively quick order.

If you check out my blog (link to the side of the main page), you can see my pitchers.

Mikoyan... I looked at your photos and really enjoyed them. I have looked at most of the photos on your site in the past and really like the zoo and lighthouse photos. The airshow ones were the best however.
