Congrats to my favorite former Ohio State football coach John Cooper for being enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame this weekend. Cooper was part of a 21 person class that included Lou Holtz, Troy Aikman, Thurman Thomas and current Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald.Cooper was quoted this weekend: "I would love to get back coaching. I miss coaching. I miss the competition. I miss game day... I don't miss compliance and academics and recruiting."
My memory is a little hazy, but I guess I missed the part of John Cooper's career that he focused on compliance and academics. Regardless, I for one would love to see him get another shot at coaching in college. Preferably in the Big Ten. Ideally at Ohio State.

One man's Cooper is another man's Carr.
We all loved John "Coupe"er.
Whet:
Lloyd Carr won 6 out of 13 games against Ohio State in his career.
Cooper won 2 out of 13 against Michigan when he was in Columbus.
Andy,
It's all relative. Wins are wins.
I could have said, "it was a tragic day in the history of the big game when a Tressel came crashing down on a Carr below.
