Feagin to Appy State

ESPN is reporting that former Michigan QB/WR Justin Feagin is going to transfer to Appalachian State. As long as he is academically eligible, he could play this year for the Mountaineers. The details regarding his hasty exit from Ann Arbor have not become public yet.

Feagin was dismissed last month by RR for the all encompassing violation of team rules. I refuse to speculate about what the violation was, but it had to be pretty bad considering it took all of one day to remove him.

While he was with our program, Feagin never attempted a pass, but he did gain 49 yards on seven attempts, including an exciting 34-yarder in the second quarter at Minnesota.

Prepare yourselves to hear the following wise-cracks over and over:

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
or
He wanted to play for a better program.

My advice to any M fan out there looking to respond: SHUT UP. Until we start winning some games and erase the memory of the Appy State and Toldeo losses, you should have nothing to say.

Good Advice Andy! I am very curious about his departure, however, if it hasn't come out yet, I have a feeling we won't really hear the real scoop.

BTW, my season tickets arrived and I am smack dab in the middle of the student section in row 29 (section 28)........I like standing for the entire game, just not so sure how this is going to play out for me......Last year I was on the edge of the student section, in the nose bleeds, it should be very interesting! Apparently the policy for grad students changed. Because I didn't do my undergrad here, my understanding was that I would be in the nose bleeds for 5 years! (I can see the game better up there!) It is either going to be a total blast, or I am going to want to slap a few people....hee hee.

No sarcastic comment here.

Yet, while reading Catie's entry I looked at my word verification. I...cannot...allow...it...to...pass.

There have been a lot of rumors on what Feagin did to earn a one way ticket out of town posted on MGOBLOGs board.

Honestly I don't care what he did to get kicked off the team. Rest assured, no matter what it ends up being - someone will find a way to spin it in the worst way possible for the program.

I heard his dad owned the local Lawn Mower shop wherever Appy State is located....

News coming out. Not thrilled about that common knowledge part.

Well, S**t.

"Feagin also told police that he used to sell drugs in Florida and had been arrested for battery and trespass but faced no repercussions. Though Feagin said he didn't sell drugs at Michigan, Burke told police it was 'common knowledge' that Feagin sold marijuana."

The above is going to grow legs for many reasons and agendas. You might want to brace yourselves.

Yeah, Whet.

RR throws him out on his ear and will probably get all kinds of hell for recruiting him in the first place.

Tressell would've suspended him for the 1st drive of the Navy game while getting praised for his leadership and fostering "family values".

gh,

I didn't make any comparisons. Don't see a need to. Based on the writing of the ESPN article it seemed that more criticism is in the offing. I was just offering up an experienced word of warning.

That is all.

Whet, my comment wasn't meant as a criticism of your post.

More of a criticsm of "if this happened at a program that is on top such as USC, tOSU or Florida", the critics become defacto Public Relations for the coach, player, program.

Much like how as soon as Florida State stopped its winning ways, the accusations actually stick.

I had designed a NCAA Football 10 video game cover featuring Feagin dropping back for a pass. But now I guess I will redesign it with him passing a brick of blow.

I hate it when this crap happens at Michigan.

Jim:

Send me a copy of that cover.
I will post it.
