4th win, just barely

We win 36-33. Ugly game for the defense. But I will take it. Good teams win games even when they play bad. 4 wins down. 2 more to go until we are bowl eligible.

Tate Forcier has ice water flowing thru his veins. The two fourth quarter touchdowns and 2 point conversion are the things that legends are made of. I am very concerned that his shoulder may be hurt pretty badly. He could not lift it at the end of the game. Denard looked better with the whole offensive flow than he had all season long. If he has to go all the entire game against Sparty next week, we will have an interesting day.

We missed Molk at center, but the offensive line controlled the game at the end. Both Brown and Minor looked strong. Too many dropped balls by the receivers.

The officials sucked. They sucked both ways. The Indiana coach has a lot to bitch about and I seriously thought he was going to punch the ref on the sideline. The Warren interception at the end was a very tight call. Once it was called as a turnover on the field, the replay was hard to tell if the WR had the ball. I am totally biased, but it looked like Warren had it when they hit the ground.

Oh Yeah, and SPARTY lost again !!! Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys.

Anybody else see that clip of Tate getting a shoulder pat after the touchdown throw and wincing pretty badly?

yeah...me thinks Tate's shoulder is toast

Moosman stunk it up at center today too.

I worry about next week against Sparty.

is Tate's shoulder that bad? didn't hear anything on WTKA post-game as I was driving back to the 616...saw highlights once I got home and it didn't look good...I couldn't tell from section 16, row 54 but BAH texted me that #5's wing may be hurt.

Wow, it was an ugly win but it was a win. I was watching the IU coach through my binoc's and he had smoke coming out his ears before and after the replay of the interception. Oh well, that's football. Moosman needs to learn to snap a better ball. Having no bag's allowed was nice. more room and no AC Drew Sharp (D-bag).

My mom and nephew flew in to Detroit and my son and I sat with them in the N Endzone today. I had to keep convincing my mom that everything would be all right as we see-sawed with the points this afternoon - just give it time, and we would get the points back. She totally missed Tate's AIRBORN TD and even the 2PT conversion, as she had her head down and said she couldn't watch until she heard the crowd erupt - LOL. I think she gets some of the credit with an extra prayer or two being sent upstairs.

Ugly and beautiful at the same time, but a WIN IS A WIN.

It'll be hard to keep Tate off the field next week unless he's just really busted up (which is very likely)- that kid is all player. Period. What a competitor.

Loved to see Kevin Grady get some playing time, even if it was just to truck people ahead of Minor.

Both Minor and Brown had great games - a lot of confidence in all the backs.

I have a feeling this week's practice is going to be a physical one with a @#$%^& load of tackling. Aside from a mess of bad snaps, the tackling was atrocious.

And God Bless Van Bergen on that big sack too - I know he loved the taste of that.

Got to yell a lot more than I thought I would, sitting way up in Sect 36. Doesn't compare though to field level @ ND though - that was flat out deafening. I wish everyone sitting up higher like we did this week, really knew how loud they can make it on the field.

End of Novella - Go Blue!!

I was really happy with the win. I don't think we played well, but I also think they were a little better than expected. We fought through mistakes, some bad tackling, snaps and still won. I don't think we would have managed that a couple of years ago. The attitude feels different...but that's just my humble opinion, nothing I can point to. Loved seeing Tate make some mistakes and bounce back to excel in the 4th.

Tate is one hell of a tough kid. His shoulder was hurting before that last drive and especially before that last TD pass but he threw it like there wasn't a thing wrong with him. M's got their own little Tebow now. Who btw got ROCKED in the Kentucky game and I'd be surprised if he knew his name right now. Nice of CLASSPN to show him vomiting on the sideline again and again and again.

Nice win by Iowa in Happy Valley. The nits were waaaay over-rated.

Damn ND win in last minute. I hate fat boy more than almost anything now. Purdue threw that game away in the final few minutes. Why they called time out with 36 seconds left and ND scrambling to line uo on 3rd and goal and either run a busted play or spike it I have no idea.

I am in agreement with you all. I wonder if after moosman was having so much difficulty, if it would have been better to switch to non-shotgun snapping. Tate is the man, and I did see him wince when someone touched his shoulder on the sideline and also saw it hanging like a chicken wing after he threw the game winning touchdown, I really hope it isn't anything serious.

I was INFURIATED that Purdue called that time out, I have a suspicion that Purdue had too many players on the field or some such violation and they had to, it is the ONLY thing that makes sense for that lame call.

Loved that Sparty Lost, however I am very nervous for that game next week, considering Tate's shoulder and Moosman's snapping. Although I am certain he will be doing LOTS of snapping this week.

Got the win, 4-0......GO BLUE!!!

I have not re-watched the game yet, but I think that many of those "bad" snaps were not too bad. He caught them off-guard twice and the QBs missed a couple.

Either way it needs to get fixed

The snapping wasn't so much an issue that a lot of wasn't caused by D Robinson. The two snaps where the players were offsides was a good move although not very smart for when the refs don't give you the call, like the 2nd time, then it could end in disaster. I would love to never see D Robinson line up at QB anymore this season. Barring major injury to Tate or blowout wins or losses I don't think Denard is ready. Denard can be a force with his legs but every single defender knows this and he's nowhere near mentally ready to be a college QB. Tate's INT was bad but I think had the ball not slipped out of his hand then he would have gotten it to Odoms on the play and probably gained yardage. His arm did the motion but the ball came out all weird so it had to have slipped. Hopefully Tate had a very mild separation and will be able to go some in the MSU game. Obviously we'll have to use Denard some but I think they need to line him up back there and just run straight pass plays for a while. He needs to develop and show another side or it will just be wasted plays until he breaks one. I wouldn't be willing to give up so many plays for the off chance that he breaks one though. Plus he's fumbled the snap 3-4 times and had that ball ripped out of his arms so I don't lay much trust there anymore either.
