Forget Lil' Bro---Cousins crushes the family
Yeah, Dantonio is definitely short some inches.
And poor Kirk Cousins. With the opportunity to put the dagger thru Fat Charlie once and for all, he forces a throw off his back foot and chucks a pick to McCarthy, thereby crushing Sparty's hopes of yet another victory in South Bend.
Drew Sharp tries to lipstick the pig in the freep: Spartans show character in hard-luck defeat I can only imagine how forgiving and supportive AC Drew Sharp would have been if we lost.

The worse play is the missed wide open TD he overthrew. Regardless of the win I don't see how ND gains any ground or notoriety. They were supposed to have been able to handle MSU defensively due to their pro style offense and they still came down to the last 30 seconds in a nail biter. Fat boy is out this season. The only way he could save himself is if they beat USC. I don't see that happening as USC has their one loss now and will find their motivation next game.
T9,
the Freep, like WJR, are heavily invested in MSU's success. they've both actively alienated most of the pro M audience.
after almost a year of "Duncetonio/MooSU is the new football power in the state" schtick, they really don't have any choice to continue to prop them up in the press, regardless of the on field results.
if the Freep turns on Sparty now, no one will read them!
BAH,
god but i hope you're wrong. if Jabba gets canned in South Bend, ND will go after someone like Brian Kelly (UC/CMU/GVSU) and then we'll be sorry.
let's hope Fat Charlie lasts his contract!
i recommend against ever linking to a freep article, even if it's only to show how shitty the freep is.
In a whole I think college football and the country in general need ND to be good again though. I can accept losses to ND if they ever become USC good again. Then it's understandable and it makes it that much sweeter when you beat them. Weiss is just a mess and is a black cloud over a lot of college football.
This is the difference in the whole rivalry thing, and the "little brother" thing.
UM supporters will feel a little for Sparty in a close loss to ND. MSU fans treat every UM defeat like a personal victory. (I doubt highly that MSUers would feel bad if Forcier threw an interception at the end of last week's game.
