Leviticus 24:
"Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest unto you, a memorial proclaimed with the blast of horns, a holy convocation."

Don't think he meant football....
Although the stadium sure seems holy!

A Happy and Healthy New Year to our Jewish Zoners.

And to our Muslim Zoners: Id said in celebration of Eid ul-Fitr

Yikes, the first half SUCKED! But the second half was a bit sweeter! GO BLUE! It wasn't as loud as last week. I am wondering what Andy thought about the noise since he was there in person today.

The stadium looks AWESOME. Student section is very well organized and was a lot of fun to watch. The piped in music is not that bad. Denard Robinson is amazing but rough.

I can't wait to watch a game from a suite. I was sitting in section 1 right above the tunnel. It is a "sit down and watch the game" area. But, at times, I could really notice the noise difference the new construction makes.

Speaking as an EMU alum...The first half was decent. The second half went about the way I expected it. But it was fun going to the Big House. I hate the "You Suck" at the end of the 3rd down thing though.

Andy,

When will you be back for a game in A2 again?

I listened to WTKA on the drive back to the 616 and the post game guys said, and I agree, that there was a better balance between the piped in RAWK music and the actual band.

BAH and I were texting fools yet again.

I was rooting for the little brothers against the domers and got back to the 616 to watch the fourth quarter at a sports bar with Spartan Dave. However, they are the same ol' spartans and lost in glorious sparty fashion.

Weighing in...
This offense is scary. They were very very sloppy at many points during the game and still managed to score 45 points. The defense is also scary as EMUs hb were running in open space a lot! It will be a long Big Ten season when we play some of the better teams. Having watched Indiana though yesterday M should kill them. They ran the ball well and had good pass pressure but I think that was more a factor of Akron's terrible O and D lines. Had Akron played a good game they would have easily beat them. The QB pressure on Akron's backup/now starting QB was the deciding factor in his throwing 3 INTs. We were sitting next to an Indiana family and on our way out I wished them luck next week. They're going to need it.

I put my pictures from yesterday on my blog.

Anyways, it was a blast going to the game yesterday. I'm gonna have to try to make it to one more this year.
