A call to all Spawners. My wife wants (wants?) WANTS! to go to the M Delaware State game. I will either be buying tickets off Stubhub (as I can get better quality tickets for a little more money) or will gladly help someone out on here looking to get rid of their tickets. Bob I really hope you're having a tailgate as I'll be looking to drink and she'll be looking for fun. Let me know if anyone has tickets. Would like to purchase ASAP while we have a lil money.

Has anyone noticed the complete silence we are having from our normal Buckeye friends ?

Sru: Are you still out there ?
Whet: I hope everything is OK ?
O_G: I hope we did not offend you ?
Fl_buck: Was it something I said ?

BAH,
Tix still avail for DSU (as well as Indiana, and EMU) on mgoblue.com

Seats available up top in the corners, but I sense that one can move down should the game get out of control.

I can get you some in the student section, but that's an aquired taste (standing up for 3+ hours and jingling keys)

Andy - This is a hectic time for our "caught on the short end again" friends. The life of a high school freshman can be busy between the school work and the part-time job dishing out fries.
(and Whet - remember you get paid by the hour. That means working the WHOLE 60 MINUTES and not just 59 minutes like some college athletes do.)

Hammm, You know we will be there tailgating and would love to have you and your spouse join us. I may be able to help you out with tickets also.

gh, (or anyone else for that matter)

If you can get student section tix for future games (not this weekend & I'm already going to the IN game) by all means, let me know.

Having stood on the edge of the student section last weekend, I don't believe there is any better way to watch a game now.

I always wanted to yell for an entire game, instead of sitting there nicely waiting for a big play or touchdown to celebrate with those I came with. Well, last weekend I got my wish and yelled the whole freakin' game when ND had the ball.

I'm tired of feeling like I need approval to yell during the game, lest I offend everyone else in my section.

Saturday was a cathartic experience, and all that yelling probably saved me from stroking out during the last 1:30 of the game.

Justthinking you going to the Indiana Akron U game? If so I will be at that as well.

GH the tickets available from Mgoblue are not what I would consider paying for. Which is why if I can't help someone out on here who has tickets then I'll get from Stubhub and get sideline tickets for almost face value. I was checking it out yesterday and there's some good ticks around the 40yard line that are 65 dollars a piece so that's not terrible imo.

Hey Hammm,
Yeah it looks like Stubhub has some deals for that game.

UM's business school ticket exchange requires everything to be face value (roughly $55/ticket for non-students)

It looks like you can be in the student section (27-32) for quite a bit less than that.

Good luck.

GH I'll bring up the student section to the wife but not sure if she's ready for that level of rowdiness. If I was just going with a friend then we'd be all over the student section. Also I thought to use student section tickets you had to have a student ID? Thus making it so students couldn't buy the tickets then sell them to non students? I may be wrong.

Andy,
the silence is pretty deafening, isn't it?

a couple seasons ago i caught all kinds of grief for suggesting that Sweater Boy's program had "peaked", "plateaued", or otherwise hit the ceiling. and now it's pretty clear that w/ out a dramatic change in his coaching philosophy, tosu isn't going to be a player on the national stage anymore. what's more, tosu fans see that now, too. the Dispatch, national press, and local talk radio have all lit up on the short comings of the current approach and the need for something different.

meanwhile, 150 miles up US 23, R2's fledgling (and still flawed) program is drawing rave reviews for being something different. though incomplete, these two games have show where Michigan football is headed and what it is going to be like into the future. the exact opposite of where tosu is going.

finally, the QB comparisons have to be painful. Pryor was Big Ten pre season O player of the year??? seems a bit silly now and unless he suddenly develops a completely different throwing motion, it's going to be a laugh come the end of the season. on the other hand, little baby Tater, so small and inexperienced two weeks ago, has burst into the media light like a young Elvis and become a rock star.

mind you, the current winning streak could change quickly- Tate & the rest of the team are very young, inexperienced, and lacking depth. but what won't change is the obvious signs for the future. R2's style of play- fast, mobile, uptempo, on both sides of the ball- is in line (if not yet caught up to) what you see when you watch Texas/FLA/USC/etc. it's the future of college football and that's where we're going.

tosu's style? it's the past, and that's where they're stuck. even the Dispatch knows that now.

BAH,
A student ticket can be converted to a general admission ticket through a validation sticker.

Under the right circumstances the student section is a lot of fun. Standing up the whole time is ok so long as the game is interesting. By the 4th quarter, doing the surfboard thing on the bleachers starts to suck.

BAH,
i received an email from the alumni association that they still had tickets available for the D State game. have you checked w/ the U directly?

also, for games like this, you can really get some very good deals if you just show up on game day w/ cash. there were a ton for tickets available before ND. there will be even more for D State. you can often get very good seats for face or less if you wait.

just a suggestion.

Duly noted on all counts. As with most things in life the wife is the final decider. Hell if I was single or had a more understanding (I guess that's the best word I can come up with) wife I would be in A2 every weekend there was a game and tailgate with Bob n company and either find a ticket or just watch the game outside. I still think this may be my goal and plan for the TUOS game at the end of the year.

BAH -

I will be there for Indiana with my son. My mom is flying up from Atlanta and bringing my nephew for the game - we do this annually.

I love the idea of tailgating and trying to get tickets last minute. I talked about that with my buddy last weekend. I think a FOR SURE for Ohio State -

GH - Good call on the 4th quarter surfboarding if it's not a cliffhanger like last weekend. I didn't consider that aspect. But to see this team play, I'd put up with it.

Excited? Me? Nahhhhhhh.

Justthinking I'm still getting confused as to if you're going to the Akron Indiana game this Sat or the MI Indiana game next Sat? If it's Akron that's very cool and I didn't know you were from these parts. If it does happen to be Akron then I'll be the guy in the Michigan jersey and hat and hopefully standing and screaming when they post the upset of the weekend Toledo over TUOS.

Ahhh my apologies -

I'll be at the Big House for the Indiana game in two weeks. Sorry for the non-clarification on my part -

We'll be in the north endzone, on the east hashmarks, just above the entrance to the stadium in that section.
