The transformation of Michigan Stadium is unfolding before our very eyes. Last year the stadium contruction project mirrored the football team, and was pretty rough. This year, along with the football team, things look A LOT better. Here is my view of THE BIGGER HOUSE before the EMU game on Saturday.
This picture was taken about 20 minutes before kickoff, and obviously before the student section rolled in. It was also taken before Carlos Brown broke my camera with his sonic boom.

Gorgeous. Those were some good seats if that's from your seat. A bit low but still almost 50 wow.
I just hope they somehow keep the "Michigan Stadium" when they tear down the press box. I like that 30's font.
I cropped the picture at the bottom to remove the clutter of the back of head's.
Yes, that was the view from my seat but No, they are not too low. The seats are 16 rows up and 6 seats to the left of the tunnel. You can get very spoiled watching the games from there.

Personally I think they should leave the old press box and just remodel it. It will look weird with it not there anymore.
Don't know if they got lost in the shuffle...

Beautiful pics MIk. We need to get a nice camera. I've never owned a nice one and every-time I see pics taken with them I think wow. The field almost looked surreal in your pics due to the angle of the sun and it's reflectivity. Very cool.
As luck would have it, my wife and I are in this picture. Hard to point it out exactly but we are in sect 27-just right of the old press box) about 5 rows above the tunnel.

sometimes having lousy seats pays off
SIC... We had a similar thing happen when we went to a game at Iowa a few years ago. We had the crummy visitor seats in the third row in the end zone and when Michigan scored in that corner we started getting calls from friends saying they saw us on tv.
"Wolverine Historian" (Michigan Football Highlight Guru on YouTube) sent me a few seconds of footage he had from the 1980 shutout of Purdue, where I got a few seconds of "face time" as a 12 year-old waving a Block M flag in the 3rd QTR.
