Oh my. Epic Fail. So much head-shaking.....
Now Penn State is the real deal, and they are a great football team, but holy moly football fan---we WHIFFED on that game.
No execution. No offensive flow. No go.
I can't even really be mad. I'm mean how young are these kids??? First rain game. Crazy hype with the flyover and the opening TD, followed by complete collapse. I at least give Rich Rod credit for saying that this one was mostly on the coaches and that he was really disappointed.
4 turnovers today, which is one less than the 5 against Iowa. A safety? Molk gone. Warren and Hemingway kneecapped in one play??? oh. my.
The one shining star?? BRANDON. GRAHAM.

Brandon Graham brings his A+++ game all the time. Never gives up. I felt like it was 08' all over again. PSU is better then I thought but boy where was our fight. Painful to watch this game...man that series with the safety, we NEED to bring against Illi & zook
T9,
Since you threw a little love towards the Hawks earlier, I hope they took a some of the sting out of your day.

Maybe the faithful on Mgoblog will finally see that Denard Robinson will not be a QB next year or years after in M. I got severely neg banged for saying this before but I hold it truer now. He is terrible. Terrible terrible terrible terrible. The first series he came in I looked at my wife and said here comes an INT. Lo and behold there it was. Granted Tate didn't play any better and NO ONE can catch the ball. I FFwd through the entire second half and said F it.
One side note I'd love to see the BT crack down on the PSU player that pushed Warren right into Hemingway. I can't believe that that wasn't called a personal foul as that was a blatant push to try to knock both M players into each other. It reminded me exactly of "boarding" in hockey where you hit the player from behind into the boards when they are defenseless. Both M players were defenseless and both could have bee knocked out for the rest of the year or their career. Terrible.
I didn't see the game and ever since Michigan moved away from WJR, reception has been spotty on AM so I listened to the Sirius broadcast and there must be something where they can't do the local broadcast if you are in the local area, so I had to listen to the Penn State version of events (boring boring boring...). So I didn't see or hear about the hit. They were more concerned about the clock at the end of the half.
Anyways, Tate is going to be the man. They'll have to figure something else out for Denard unless he suddenly becomes a better passer.
Why oh WHY did Denard see any snaps? I know, Tate was not impressive, but seriously it is like RR desperately wants to have a 2 QB system. STOP already.
The student section was packed like sardines and I was hit on the head by a beach ball more then I care to count. It was the most annoying game, to watch the team disintegrate before my eyes, while being pushed into a space that couldn't possibly fit a child.
The one bright spot in the day was watching Iowa take the game in the last 4 seconds from MSU. :)
About the only way I want to see Denard take any snaps is if Michigan goes to a Wildcat offense on occasion. But I'm not sure Denard is built like a running back.
I need healing photos and the pussy in the picture ain't cutting it.
VERY happy to see Iowa pull it out, tho I must give props to Sparty for the ballsy hook and ladder call on 3rd and 8 million
No, seriously, what was the brouhaha between the coaches on the sideline. I thought someone was going to get punched.
It was the most entertaining part of the game.
If it's the one time in the first half the coaches were yelling at each other it's because they had 12 men on the field for a field goal and had to burn a timeout early in the game. Rich was very pissed and it looked like the coaches were each blaming each other that it was their responsibility. I didn't pay attention to much of any of the second half so if it happened then then I don't have a clue.
Hamm,
That was it. RR looked like he could chew nails and spit bullets. The other coaches were going toe to toe also. Not something you see every day.
Yeah somebody (one of the coaches presumably) screwed up and allowed 12 men to stay on the field when PSU was setting up for a field goal. had it not been caught this would have been a penalty and first down for PSU and probably a TD. They had to burn a timeout and it was very early in the game. I think this was when it was still 7-7 so the game was still very wide open. RR started chewing ass and I think the coaches started throwing each other under the bus and not owning up to their own stupid mistake.
RR seems to be a very angry person on the sideline. Moreso than I've ever really noticed any other coach. Guess it's something we'll have to get used to.
