Little Big Horn Healing

I can't believe what I just witnessed.
This is bad. I have never been so down about being a Michigan fan. We went from being in complete and total control to getting blown out. All based on 2 plays that did not go our way. I refuse to become one of those people that rant and rave about coaching on the internet.

I need to take a break from this obsession. If anyone out there wants to take the wheel of this place for a couple of weeks, let me know. If T9 agrees, I will set you up as an author. I have nothing to say. I am done.

Nice healing pic. Thanks. Tomorrow the sun will come up. We're still a great educational institution. OK, now let's focus on basketball.

While I am disappointed and disgusted by today's game, I am going to let this settle for a bit before commenting further.

Andy has been the major contributor around here for a long time and I'm going to try and pick him up. I just may not be as prolific.

Gotta circle the wagons.
More soon.

I have been the strongest richrod supporter until the mid-3rd Q today... I fear that this may have been the wrong decision for Michigan. Today was unacceptable.

Sru - you're just here to check out our healing pictures. I have a good mind to win the rest of our games just to keep you from seeing anymore.

wv - encilin (a version of penicillin you take when you're feeling as bad as I do)

LOL@616, nice quote!

Sru, you really are a moron

Andy, I am sorry that you feel so badly. My brother called, telling me that he was going to paint over the big block M in his game room. It was a very depressing game (very), however, we really didn't think that a team that was comprised of 80% freshmen and sophomores was going to win the Big Ten or NC did we? The first 4 games gave us a false sense of belief, in my opinion. From the moment Carr retired, there was nearly no way to avoid Michigan Football tanking for a few years. We don't know what will happen the next few weeks (likely nothing great, but still) Hopefully these kids will get to a bowl game so that they have more practice time and next year will be better.

Anyway, Although it was an embarrassing day, it is still great to be a Michigan Wolverine and I do hope that T9 can circle the wagons and keep us all hanging on to that thread of hope.

Oh, and my brother asked me to change schools, since the "Horror" was my first game as a student, he blames the last 3 years on me. So I am apply to Yale, just to help out the team! :)

Chances are slim that I will get in, if I can't even spell Applying correctly! UGH!

Andy, Andy, Andy, it's just a game.

Just finished reading the previous live game comment thread. You know, the prophetically named "Custer" thread? I haven't laughed that hard all day (and I watched the game).

The comments build to a glorious anthem of hope at half-time and then do a death spiral into the earth. Give it a day and read it again. The entertainment value is priceless.

I coughed up a hairball over the RR for coach of the year comment.

if you want to watch REAL football turn on the USC v. Oregon game

My dad was talking earlier about how we should look in toBrian Kelly if RR doesnt work out. I'm not sayin he wont but it's not a bad idea to have a plan B.

Maybe I should have lit a candle at San Juan Capistrano.

I hope Tressel, Inc. got a copy of the Oregon/USC game. It can be done.

I too am tired of being embarrassed and maybe a change is needed once again. It is inconceivable to me that in two years you have a team of kids who most of which have played football their entire lives but yet still can't hold/catch the damn ball. That has GOT to be on the coaching. It's not hard to catch a punt really and there should never be this many turnovers as a result. RR has ground this once proud school into the mud and f they don't win another game or even have a close game the rest of the year I think his coaching days are done here at M. What with a new AD on the horizon and all these changes. Blaming everything on the kids being so young has gotten old and it's really starting to stem to the kids being undercoached. The defense the young argument works but the offense there's no reason anymore. Seniors are fumbling the ball just as often as freshmen something is inherantly wrong there.

I probably won't even watch the Purdue game next week or any other game aside from maybe a bit of the TUOS game and hang my head in shame. The M flag comes down off the porch today and old glory goes back up.

Situation Normal...

Geez. Where did all these indians come from?
Spread looks good when you have a full field but inside the ten? We are fast. Inept, but quick about it.

Andy, a blog is like a needy woman. She'll suck the life out of you if you let her. Nothing wrong with a little less.

We're still quite the spoiled bunch. We're rebuilding; it takes time. Putting aside the upsetting circumstances of this game, we've only lost one game we really would have expected to win at the beginning of the year (msu is debatable). RR's gaudy second year record was against much weaker competition. That 4-0 start and the win over ND did nothing but set fan expectations at a ridiculous level.

Talking about a coaching change after two seasons is just ridiculous. Blaming the coach for the kids dropping balls is wrong. Man up and hold on to the damn ball.

Everyone's having a grand old poking the bear these last two years. I keep telling my "friends," enjoy it now.

I can accept rebuilding. Rebuilding implies gradual improvement. But it seems that we look worse every week. Yesterday's game was as awful as I can remember any being last year. It's like we were rebuilding and then something tore it back down to the foundation. Holding on to the ball is a fundamental...maybe even the foundation of football.

I feel like I have been defending RR for two years now. But truthfully the past couple weeks have started to test my faith. RR's forte is supposed to be offense. But his offense seems to lack imagination and not draw on the athletic strengths of his players.

I don't have my torch lit yet, but I'm sharpening my pitchfork.

Show me another team in football that has this problem on a repeated weekly basis as we do? Tate's fumbles I don't blame so much on coaching as his style of running with the ball is terrible and he's always trying to do too much. But fumbling kickoffs and punts is absolutely ridiculous at the major college level. 100% coaching errors.

Andy,

Does this mean you're going to come watch the games now with me and Benny in his mom's basement?
