Enough

It has only been about 10 minutes, but I am sick of looking at those bitches. After 2 years of suck, there isn't enough healing in the world to make me feel better. But I am willing to let Tara Reid give it a chance.

I know results are expected far quicker in 2009 than 1999 and expectations at Michigan are greater than at Iowa, but when Ferentz came in, the cupboards were left empty by Fry, Ferentz started the rebuild on the offensive side and let the D evolve. And it was uuuugly (sound familiar?).

The Hawks record his first 4 years were:

1-10 overall, 0-8 BXI
3-9 3-5
7-5 4-4
11-2 8-0 Champs

Improvement came, then consistency and finally success.

Re-builds take time, it just sucks to watch them happen.

I hate the wait but I agree with hmbfossil.

you know, it's hard to imagine that she was a Brady "cast off", that is until you see the "keepers", i guess.

this decade has not been good for Michigan football. and it's hard to remember (but very necessary)that this didn't just happen over night. we had a 2-6 record against tosu, won all of 2 bowls (ironically, both against Fla, go figure), & had seasons w/ 3 or more losses 7/8 seasons, all before R2 ever left Morgantown.

is this all Lloyd's fault? no. could R2 have done some things differently that might have made some of this better? definitely.

but it's the epitome of Michigan arrogance for us to think that we were some how magically immune to the down cycles that ALL major college programs have gone thru at one time or another in the modern era of the last 30 years. not just the NDs & Nebraskas that struggle still today, but USC, 'Bama, Texas, PSU, tosu, LSU, and most of the current ranked teams have all had losing seasons (and in some cases, stretches of losing seasons) in the last few decades.

is this all disappointing? oh yeah. i get reminded of that every day. but the improvement from last season to this season is obvious. and the vision of what this team could look like next year (and beyond) is pretty bright.

keep the faith. in a year or two we're all going to look back at this and laugh.

I agree Sic and Hmbfossil, I still cringed today, particularly in the 4th quarter with the play calling. I see Roundtree and Forcier and feel the hope, nonetheless if the play calling sucks......I don't know, it concerns me. But as I always say, it IS great to be a Michigan Wolverine and it always will be. GO BLUE! Looking forward with hope to a brighter future.

At least we saw Denard's future with the team. Receiver. If he takes a snap at QB next year then DEATH!

I saw alot of bright spots in the game today. The offense was moving the ball fairly well. The defense was coming up pretty well too. For all pratical purposes they held OSU to 14 points. But you can't win with 5 turnovers. Given some more experience, I don't think Tate has those turnovers. Hell, if that one had turned into a touchdown, it would have been 21-17.. Onside kick and who knows...

I honestly hope that they don't panic and fire Rich Rod. I'm not sure if he's the answer, but I'd rather keep him and have some degree of consistency. The same goes for the rest of his staff.

Oh and listening to the Jackass rattle off what Michigan needs to do was painful. I mean he built an 0 and 16 team. What the hell does he know about building a team?

Looks like Boren might have been wrong about the whole "Michigan lacking family values" thing.............RichRod has had the team home for the holidays 2 years in a row now

O_G: I understand that you are very excited and proud of your football team, but enough is enough.
You are about one more troll comment from getting banned from here. We have been more than accommodating to everyone here, but your comments do nothing but attempt to enrage Michigan fans. I am sick of it.

I strongly suggest you take all of the hostility you attempt to mask as humor and put it on your own blog or one of the dozens of buckeye sites.

I am not going to mask my hostility to you anymore. Unfortunately for you and your troll like jokes -- it will show up in the form of the delete key.

Andy... Are you saying O_G has got to G_O ?

Not necessarily.

He is welcome here. I love having other opinions, it just adds to the fun. I just want him to come out from under the bridge and stop throwing kidney punches designed to provoke the majority of our community.

If he continues, his voice will be silenced.

Thank you Andy. There's a big difference between opposing opinions and trolling.

Back on to the real subject:
Overall I saw some goodness yesterday. When I step back and note that it's an 18 year old throwing a ball around in front of 106,000+ fans, I realize he needs some room. Yes those interceptions were down right ugly, but the overall score was much better than it could have been.

Have faith and stand strong. Those who stay will be champions.
