Looking for an oasis: Football in the Desert

Oh, the land is bare
The glare hot,
And the way uncertain.

Stagnate and whither,
Or trudge forward,
To the horizon
of the unknown.

This is football in the desert.
This is our Michigan Difference.
Just for now.
Because,those who stay,
Will be champions.

Wow!

No doubt prepared beforehand. Sadness, gloom and dispair.

Looking forward to next week, Skippy.

OOOOO Poetry!

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Someone kick Whets butt,
So I don't have to.

nope, written in the wake of another loss.

impressed by your man-handling of Iowa right now.
Oh wait.
It's a close game.

Time will tell.

wow...I barely have a voice and I think I damn near had a heart attack. Amazing how quickly things turned after we went up 24-10 and how many little things went wrong after that....I thought for sure we were going to blow it.

But then the defense dominated in OT and our backup kicker nailed the biggest kick of his life

just glad to get the win and see those roses

I'm just glad we can see another major conference team demolish TUOS in another Rose Bowl. That will actually be fun to watch. Who's it going to be Oregon?

I took the tosu fan son to the Iowa game.

Since I was the only guy there who didn't care who won, I probably enjoyed it more than anyone.

I didnt' understand why Iowa didn't try to score before letting it go to OT. Disappointing!

At the risk of being a true homer, next year can't be worse, We have some awesome players, looking forward to 2010, that is after we give it a great try against tOSU! GO BLUE!

Nor do I not understand why Iowa didn't call a timeout in OT. Whether it be on their 4th down disaster or more when they were kicking the FG to try to ice the new kicker. Bad coaching.

SIC,

With all due respect, you were not the only one there that didn't care who won - Kirk Ferentz was right there with ya.

Agreed BAH, none of it made any sense. I was hoping to see Iowa run the board and have a good year for a change (same thing I did last year for Penn State). If we can't have it, at I at least like to cheer on some Big Ten team (although MSU and tOSU are NEVER a team that I would do that with!) Too bad Stanzi was hurt during the NW game, I think that assisted in that loss. Although their back up did very well yesterday, it was just that poor clock management at the end that killed their chances. Ah well.

My nephew is a ND fan, he always posts on his FB after Michigan loses, how happy that makes him. Yesterday he posted the "good News" was that Michigan lost and won't be making it to a bowl game for the second straight year. I posted back, the Good news is that Michigan Beat ND this year. HA! At least we have that!

Ok, I am at the Duderstat Center writing......better get back to it.
