This is supposed to be the biggest week of the season, but somehow it just doesn't feel that way. In celebration of "the game" -- I created three different wallpapers this week to remind Michigan fans that we have many moments to be proud of. I just hope someday soon Michigan can once again hold up our end of this great rivalry.

I'm not sure if it was the 1995 or the 1996 game a former boss of mine was talking about. He had some Ohio State people sitting near him at the game and at the beginning they were saying things like, "I wonder which Heisman candidate is going to ram the ball down Michigan's throat" or "This should be a cake walk". He said that as the game progressed, they got quieter and quieter.
probably '95. that was the year Eddie George won the Heisman.
frankly, i had expected the same thing. i had attended the tosu-illini game in Columbus the week before and watched Eddie George set a host of rushing records. i didn't think we had a chance of stopping them.
then "Biakabutuka" happened, and it all went well.
so, miracles do occur. often when you least expect them.
Nice work on all accounts.
I think the game in question was in Ann Arbor.
holy crap regarding Harmon's stat line in 1940. Looks like he scored 28 of the 40 points himself and has involved in all 40. Not to mention playing offense, defense and special teams.
though he apparently missed 2 PATs. slacker. ;-)
oh and Mik....it would have been in 95 in the game was in AA. This whole "even year in Columbus, odd year in Ann Arbor" trend in this series has been around since 1903. 1902 was the last time an OSU/UM game was played in AA in an even year (side note, there were no games in this series fro 1913-1917)
Ohio_Guy...no need to get snarky....
I did not realize this until yesterday, but the Michigan defensive end (#90) in the 1969 wallaper is Spawn reader Mike Keller.
Go Blue !
