Brandon MVP

Congrats to Brandon Graham for winning the MVP of the 2010 Senior Bowl. After impressing the NFL scouts all week in practice, BG continued to dominate in the actual game where he collected five tackles, two sacks, one tackle for loss and forced a fumble.

He played defensive end all week, but there is some debate on whether he will play DE or OLB on Sundays. His first sack was a classic speed move around West Virginia tackle Selvish Capers. Later in the game, he showed his strength while bull-rushing Ciron Black of LSU. He is such a bad-ass, he didn't even need to wear his mouth piece on one of his stops.

Hail!

and NO helmet stickers. Beast.

If I remember correctly, the great helmet sticker exchange is a feature of the East West Shrine Game.

We did not have any players in that game this year.... so yes, issue averted.

The stupid scroll at the bottom of ESPN had Kiper project Graham at 32nd to the Colts. I think he'll be gone way before that. I'd love to see the Browns pick him up but the fans would never give him a chance since he came from M.

Speaking of the Browns I am getting real tired of the Josh Cribbs fiasco. Yes he's good but shut the hell up and finish out your contract.

I'd love to see him on the Steelers. I hate it when Michigan players go to the Cleveland Clowns; that team is horrible and it's fans are poisoned against Blue. Although one of the pleasant things about living around here is the griping.

We've had this discussion in the past about the Browns and Michigan players.

I am sure long time Browns fans fondly remember Thom Darden (9 seasons, all in Cleveland), Steve Everitt (3 solid seasons) and Leroy Hoard (6 seasons and a Pro Bowl).

The Braylon saga and the intensity of the M/OSU rivalry has skewed everyone's perspective. I am quite certain if the Browns drafted a Wolverine AND he played hard and to his potential, they would accept him with open arms.

They would accept him only up to the point that he had a bad game and then they'd blame Michigan. I was arguing on facebook with an old friend from high school about how Edwards was never given a chance. He argued that it was Edwards lack of an ability to catch the ball but even still any article in any of the local papers about Edwards never failed to mention Michigan. Even after his one good season with the Clowns they blamed M.

I'm interested to see the direction the team takes with Holmgren as the Pres now. They finally got someone in there who actually knows what the hell he's doing. I'd be scared if I was the AFC.

A friend from Ohio sent me this clip. He claims this was the last time the Browns or Bengals were even good enough to be mentioned on TV. Anyway, the pro football talk starts around 4:00 minutes in the clip. I'd swear this is Andy, Bigass, Whet, and Hemlock standing around chatting pro football:

The Clowns fans can take solace in the fact that he's never beaten Ohio State.

Hammm, I don't know about scared. What did Holmgren do in Seattle other than lose to the Steelers in the Superbowl? I'll admit that he does have a good mind for football, but the ownership of the Browns is not good (see: Detroit Lions). The common thread with teams you see year in- year out is great ownership: Colts, Steelers, and Pats.

Yea but the Browns have a mystique about them that makes players and fans want to support them. If they could get about 5-7 good payers they would compete. They are horribly thin at so many positions though. Ever since their return they have had morons making the decisions on drafts and trades and it hasn't gotten them anything but a bunch of scrubs.

As a fairly recent transplant to the Cleveland-Akron area, the only "mystique" I've seen with the area teams is mistakes. It's been 50+ years since a championship, so I don't blame people for being a bit cranky.
