As promised yesterday, here it is. I had to work a little bit to find the Braylon Edwards "Lloyd Carr's University if Michigan" intro from NBC's Sunday Night Football. I have uploaded it for you to judge for yourself. I have included the Bengals intros also to compare how Dhani Jones and Leon Hall do it.
Of course the Free Press is making a big deal of this. They even go as far as taking Dhani's statement of the obvious as a shot at RR. Whatever.
Call me a Blue Loyalist all you want, but none of this will matter if Michigan starts winning football games. If I were Rich Rodriguez - I wouldn't think twice about this. Braylon is a well documented ego-maniac prone to foot-in-mouth maneuvers. He has officially stated this was not a slap at RR, but rather a tribute to LC. Win some games and all this cannibalism goes away.

this small episode really shows just how disjointed the Faithful have become.
if Mike Vrabel had himself intro'd as from "John Cooper's Tosu", or Samari Rolle as "Bobby Bowden's FSU", would anyone had thought that was anything other than a shout out to his old coach?
no. it wouldn't even have been news.
as it stands, THIS incident wasn't even "news", at least in the MSM, except for the Freep, "Voice of the Jihad".
same with Dhani's interview. he essentially said: we haven't been good for two seasons; we need to be better next season; & no one is going to be happy if we don't win next season. is that really news? it's something every fan this side of Michael Rosenberg has already said.
the Voice of the Jihad gets lots of hits every time they print a negative headline. they also get a lot of mentions in other forums like ESPN. as long as we have a losing record, negative stories, even non existent ones will be news.
8 wins will silence this. 10 wins will make most everyone forget about it.
I think if he would have come out and said "Bobby Bowden's FSU" there would be just as much negativity on their fanbase. A lot of people feel that Bowden got the shaft from the University that he helped put on the map. Personally I always hated him so I say good riddance.
