In a vote that was no surprise, Charles Woodson was named The Associated Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Chuck received 28 of a possible 50 votes from a panel of media members. It's the first award of its kind for Woodson, who earned his second straight and sixth career Pro Bowl bid this season and was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month in three of the four regular-season months. CW is the first cornerback to win the award since Deion Sanders in 1994. The award was first instituted in 1971.

so, Chas wins the major award, and Rex Ryan reacts by pissing & moaning about how his guy was really more worthy.
and now Tennessee has an opening for a head coach?
sounds like Ryan would be a perfect fit...
Sic,
You beat me to it. Kiffin to USC? After one year at Tenn.? Wow!
Time to jar the faithful. You all are riding high on Woodson at the moment--congratulations.
On the other side of the coin, I just listened to Desmond Howard doing an interview on ESPN. He was given several opportunities to state his personal opinion on the character of Lane Kiffen and he chose to weenie out. All he would say is that this is the state of college football today.
I was a Howard fan until now. Sheesh, what a political dodge.
Howard is owned by ESPN now and everything that comes out of his or any of their mouths goes through their political machine. They are truly all talking heds.
My favorite Desmond Howard moment
moron
he's supposed to be talking about texas tech - did he just accidentally say texas? NO! he goes on about players from the longhorns!
way to go desmond!
