Here's hoping the team will play their hearts out to give Red his 700th career win tonight!
Considering the calling out Red took from the LA Kings' GM in January, it'd be nice to see the program work out some of this season's frustrations on the #1 team in the country and storm the frozen 4.
A win tonight would also help me personally. My spartan siblings and mountaineer parents are feeling mighty smug right now. Happy Easter to me!
Well I now need a new uverse remote as mine just exploded against the wall. What a bunch of shit that whole ot experience was. I'd like to call that ref and thank him for blowing the whistle. What a douche.
Seriously, I never say that the refs lost a game for anyone. That is not the case last night. That goal in OT was already on it's way into the net when that whistle blew, it was obvious on the replay, to not reverse that call was a decision to not let Michigan win (amongst the other "no calls" they made against Miami that they could/should have. That was wrong as wrong gets. I hope Miami knows that they are going to the frozen four because of a bad ref call.
I am trying to understand why there was no whistle on the 2nd Miami goal when the puck was under Hunwick's pad and why such a quick whisle on the Michigan OT play. I am with Catie about not blaming referees for a loss, but I just want the calls to be consistent.
A month ago none of us expected them to even make the tournament so they did extremely well to get as far as they did. With that in mind, it makes it really suck to lose a game like that. They obviously had many chances to win it in the third period and the first OT but just could not get the shots to go in. I found it interesting that Blah Blah Blasi played Knapp instead of Reichard after he let in 5 goals in the CCHA semi finals. I kind of sort of hope they go all the way now adn get this out of their system and let Michigan dominate next year.
oh, & short goalies RAWK!
SIC... We need to make this the battlecry for next season.

GO BLUE!!!! At least I can watch tonight's game on a screen bigger than my macbook!
OH, and how about those Red Wings last night? The longest shoot out ever, we were down to defensive players shooting! Great win for them!
Hunwick seems to be on fire n then they score. Shit. That's what I get for posting.
Gooooaaaalllll!!!!
2-1 Good guys!!!!
Damn good game! I would like it better if we had a lead and if we could stay out of the penalty box!
Game better not be decided by a shootout. Looks rough out there.
No shoot-outs in NCAA hockey.
Miami beat us up the last half of the 3rd period. I hope we score quickly in OT.
I can't take this very much more.
Bullshit that was the game.
Screw job
Holy s these refs are biblically bad.

O_G
Scramble in front of the net.
Super fast whistle for no reason.
Michigan player still got the shot off before.
Video review.
No goal decision.
I can't wait to see what Brian Cook says about all of this.
I am just going to heal with it the only way I know how.
