Spring Game 2010

Football. Finally.

I am really looking forward to watching the Spring Game tonight, even if it is on BTN tape delay. Based on what I have read, Denard Robinson has made significant improvements to become more than a wildcat runner. I would love to watch him become the star of the Michigan offense for the next 3 years.

Today should give us a good idea on if that can happen.

Edit: Loyal Spawner SiC sent this image from the stadium. It is 42 degrees.

Kicking game was bad.

Defense was modestly good.

DeNard was off the hook. Not "looked good against our crappy D" good but downright sensational.

Try to catch the replay on BTN to see what I mean.

I am in San Francisco today so could not make it to the game today but two of my three sons went and a few from our tailgate group also showed up at 6am this morning.

Andy and T9... Keep up the good work on the spawn site and don't worry about dry spells between posts. We all have busy times and we all understand.

T9 and Andy,

I will be emailing you some pictures I took with my blackberry and regular digital camera in a bit...

I even took a picture of the 8 freaking foot tall bobblehead of Charles Woodson!

BTW, thank you for recommending "The Arena" sports bar a couple years ago...it's become the place I take my nephew for lunch when I visit him in A2. The Corner turkey sandwich is made with the most awesome bread I have ever had!

watching the replay on BTN now (after the women of the diamond beat up on NW 11-7)
I don't like the format...
rapid sequence kicking reps
then scrimmage
snooze
play and hit! ;-)

the one good thing?
maize pants.

announcers debating whether long snappers are athletes or artists....

OK, impressed with Denard
Defense?
suspect....

were you at the softball game? i was just next door for the LAX game- you could hear the softball crowd inside!

i agree w/ the concern over the D. i thought the #1 D vs Tate & the #2 O looked passable, but just that. nothing terrific.

on the other hand, it seemed clear that the format was designed to show off the offense, so i don't think we'll know anything until UCONN.

the one thing that was very obvious- Will Hagerup, the incoming Frosh punter who won't be on campus until summer? he better be damned good & ready to play or Tate's going to have to do the punting!
