For most people, it is just another day off from work and the official start of summer. The original Memorial Day was in 1868, it was called
Decoration Day. The purpose was to honoring the dead of the Union Army in the Civil War. Over time, the Decoration Day holiday was expanded to salute the fallen soldiers from both North and South. Eventually it was renamed Memorial Day and chosen to encompass all of this country's fallen in subsequent wars.
Like the old english "D" on the Tigers cap, I believe the United States Flag is a thing of beauty. I just wish the marketing scientists at Major League Baseball could prevent themselves from grafting these two masterpieces together into a hideous mess.

Yea I saw the Indians hats briefly as I watched the Indians Yankees game for about 2 outs. They were also hideous. At least they could have kept the bulk color of the hat to match the uniforms and not white.

Yep. Over the last two years MLB has gone with dark blue and red versions. The white one is the worst of all. The players look like ice cream vendors.

Yes everything went perfectly. She was 8lbs 5 oz and 20 inches. Full head of hair! (to a guy losing his hair that's a big deal lol) Still haven't gotten either the Michigan hat on her or a pic with Baby's first M blanket yet. When I do pic is in the digital mail.

She's a girl. Someday she'll be a teenager and therapy will be a requirement anyway. Although it will be my therapy.
Anyway emailed a few pics to the Spawns Gmail account. Andy I thought I had your email but it got wiped I think when our hard drive crashed last year.
