Hold the Rope
HT to MGoBlog poster BlueinDC for pointing out this pretty cool official White House image of President Obama walking out of the Michigan Stadium locker room, presumably headed to give his Commencement address.

I agree having Obama in this picture is kind of cool, but what is up with the "hold the rope" thing??? I never saw that before and it sounds like a Rich Rod thing. Does anyone know for sure?
RichRod has a "drop the soap" one - not sure where this came from. Probably David Brandon.

GBB: The "hold the rope" thing is a Rich Rodriguez thing. He brought it over from WVU and has used it for years as a "team building" theme.
Here is a YouTube clip of the celebration after the 2006 Sugar Bowl. During the last couple seconds of the video you hear the players yelling "hold the rope".
Of course, since it is a RR thing, I am sure many of the "real michigan men" out there will immediately hate it.
