My UConn weekend images

I finished editing these pictures this morning and created a FLICKR account to easily share them. I only brought one lens with me on the trip, so my pics are limited to wide angle shots.

There are a couple I am quite proud of, and you may be seeing them again in a future wallpaper wednesday post.

Awesome.

Side note:
It sickens me all these people that claim Bush should keep his Heisman for his performance on the field. That's all they ever say is that his play earned it. Blah blah blah. If that's true where is Pete Rose in the HOF? Enough said.

The performance on the field argument is ridiculous. Reggie Bush made himself ineligible by accepting improper benefits. What he did on the field does not matter, because he should not have been on the field.

There is a photograph of the stadium before the changes that is from that same angle (but a little lower) and with the sunsetting behind the old pressbox. I have a copy of it in my basement and have seen it many times in many places. This photo will become the replacement for that one in the future. I especially like these photos because that is the angle we see sitting in section 41.

Bob, let me know if you want me to put that image in my photo store so you can order a poster sized print.

How do we do that and how much does it cost?

I will email you both with details. I don't want to create any licensing problems with Michigan by selling to the general public. I can sell prints to my "friends".

Andy,
Amazing photo! I might be interested in a print as well. Can you e-mail me the details as well? pauldavidellison at gmail dot com.

Is that stadium shot an HDR picture?

When was the skywriter? I don't remember it which is unusual since everytime I hear an aircraft I look up.

Nice pictures all around....

The skywriter was in the air in the morning. I took that shot as I was walking to GBB's tailgate at 11AM.

That is pretty much how it came out of the camera. It was almost dark when that particular shot was taken. I was shocked on how much blue came out when I looked at the LCD. The shutter speed was pretty low, so I had to brace the camera against something to reduce "the shake" and make it look clear.

What kind of camera and lense did you use for these pictures? And did they take some editing to turn out so great or is that just the way they were taken? Thanks for posting these cause they really are awesome.
