Caption Contest: Brandon Graham

It has been a while since we have had a caption contest, so let's get it on. You know the rules. Hopefully we can wake T9 up long enough to award a winner.

The Detroit News ran a pretty funny picture of Brandon Graham yesterday, even though the article had nothing to do with him. There were about a dozen things that popped into my mind when I saw it. Now it is your turn to tell the real story...

For those of you keeping track of such things, this a one of those moments when we laugh and make fun of ourselves.

Caption Contest: Senator Tressel

It has been a while since we have had a caption contest and things are getting a little boring around here. So let's get to it... T9 will be the judge and announce the winner on (or around) Friday the 26th.

My submission:
Coach Tressel did not have to travel far to secure the commitment of the 3rd Boren brother for his next recruiting class.

Just in case you are hungry:
DEEP-FRIED RATTLESNAKE
1 rattlesnake cut into steaks
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup cracker crumbs
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (not garlic salt)
1 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper

Mix dry ingredients. Whisk milk into beaten egg and use to dip snake steaks. Then coat them with dry ingredients. Fry, uncovered, in 400 degree oil until brown.

Caption Contest: Sparty Final Four

(Deep breath) Congrats to the Spartans of Michigan State University for making it to Ford Field and the Final Four. I wish I could say that I will be cheering for you (and the Big Ten) -- but my mother told me to never lie. May your basketball season meet the same fate as Sparta's own King Leonidas at Thermopylae.

Thanks to our very own ohio_guy for pointing out this incredible image of Sparty basketball coach Tom Izzo. There really was no other choice than to host a Detroit / Final Four caption contest once we saw it. There are 64 Spawn Points on the line for the winning entry, as decided by T9.

Caption Contest: Sparty Spring Practice

I saw this image on EDSBS this morning and immediately decided we need to have our third CAPTION CONTEST. This is good therapy after the jolly green giant basketball team came into Crisler last night and beat us again in hoops. Someday we will get back to being respectable, someday.

This contest we are giving away 38 SPAWN POINTS (equal to the number of games Michigan is ahead of Sparty in the football series) and a free cold beer (or more) at the SPAWN TAILGATE PARTY for the Spring Football Game on April 11th.
