I can't believe what I just witnessed.

This is bad. I have never been so down about being a Michigan fan. We went from being in complete and total control to getting blown out. All based on 2 plays that did not go our way. I refuse to become one of those people that rant and rave about coaching on the internet.

I need to take a break from this obsession. If anyone out there wants to take the wheel of this place for a couple of weeks, let me know. If T9 agrees, I will set you up as an author. I have nothing to say. I am done.

Prime Time Iowa Healing

5 turnovers. Ouch. Freshmen are still freshmen. Tate proved he was human. Denard ensured he will continue to get a series every once in a while. Personally, I would have put Tate back in for the last drive, but I understand why RR went with Denard. We are gonna be fine after we learn a couple of hard lessons about ball security.

Overall, I can't say I am too disappointed. It wasn't like I was expecting a win. We had a chance at the end, which was more than we deserved. The defense took a big step forward today. Woolfolk did fine at corner. We need to find a safety or two if we are gonna compete. The goal is still six wins. Gotta get Delaware State and Purdue.

Lions get to face the uniformed NFL twins of Iowa tomorrow. It won't be as close.

I know it is only Saturday, but I can't think of anything more fun to post today than football, american flags, and bikinis. Lions QB Matt Stafford agrees with me. For those of you questioning the dedication or judgement of our new starting QB, he does have a Tigers hat on.

The girl to his right is his UGA Cheerleader girlfriend. She has had an upgrade since Matt signed his NFL contract. Amen.

Former South Carolina Kicker Ryan Succop made a name for himself in April when he was the last player drafted in the 2009 NFL Draft.

According to his agent, he is about to sign a $1.2M contract with the KC Chiefs. Keep in mind that NFL contract money is not guaranteed and the Chiefs have a decent young kicker. But at least I got to use the gamecock chicks photo.

Sports Science Friday: Enhancements Part Duo

This week's edition of SSF continues the theme of enhancements. Somehow I started thinking about SI's Sport/Not a Sport column and synchronized swimming came to mind. Although the ladies from Arizona look pretty chilled out in the pool, this picture makes me think that synchronized swimming is soooooo not a sport.

Perhaps if it were enhanced in some way, it could qualify????
But what skills are required to succeed???

floating. I've got it!!!! Enhanced flotation devices!!!!! THAT'S what this sport needs! Flotation enhancement!!!! But by what means???

ok, sorry to say....it don't work!!

Luckily science has come up with implants which can go directly under the skin or under the pectoralis muscle to enhance the flotation capabilities of breasts. The key is to get saline implants, not the silicone ones because silicone has been linked to a number of medical problems. The silicone implant can break, leaking it's contents into the surrounding tissue. They no float no more.

It is also really important to find a well-trained plastic surgeon to perform the enhancement because you want them to be even, well-rounded, and of course supple (for non-pool activities).

Even better, from a competition standpoint the implants are NOT a banned substance! Enhance away ladies!!!! Make them as big as you can!!!!!!!!

Even though you won't be cheating, it is important to be able to size up the competition, so take this test (work alert) to see if you can tell the augmented from the non.

The new devices are sure to increase buoyancy making the synchronizing of the swimming thing a piece of cake!!! And maybe even your new favorite sport?????

A Girl Scouts: Flag Football Alumni Game

Given the recent announcement by the athletic department that Saturday's Spring "Game" will be nothing more than a glorified walk-thru with the players still in development....
Rodriguez said he hopes the spring game will be entertaining for fans.
"We don't have enough guys to have a true game -- to have a maize and a blue team -- but I think you'll be able to see some guys compete a little bit who are out there for the first time and have some fun," he said. Vacation

I just had this vacation photo sent to me from my friend Billy. Since Michigan was not in a bowl game this year, he decided to go someplace warm and just relax.

He swears on his stack of media guides that the one on the right (#20) is prettier and has a higher SAT score. He says his personal experiences will confirm that her teeth are whiter and her taste in music is better.

On the other hand he reports the one on the left (#1) has onion breath, oppressive ear wax, and lint in her belly button. He swears that despite being faster and stronger, she can't read the label on a beer bottle and has a serious drug problem.

I told him he was being ridiculous and judgemental. I'm not sure I can be friends with Billy anymore.
