Football's Valhalla

shout out to 616goblue for this link!!!!

and, according to legend--the play called was a playground audible between Wangler and Carter. Wangs and AC noted that the route had been open all game (or so I've been told) and they decided to wing it......

the rest is Maize and Blue history

as if the "little brothers" out there wonder why I am a "walmart wolverine" (cuz I graduated from WMU and didnt want to go to college 30 minutes from home) but this was the FIRST game I attended at The Big House! my older brother got tix in the student section (yeah a 12 yr old kid didnt have to show his M-card "back in the day") about 7 rows up from the field not that you can tell, but I was part of the student section spilling on the field!

Oh yea, the best part of this video is the now illegal "toss out of bounds" (it was not illegal at the time) at about :38 seconds into the clip.

Lee Corso has never recovered.

Of course it would never fly today, but every time I see that clip I think what it'd be like now had they never lowered the field. Wow.

Joshua lives!
Yes my first reaction also was about the horribly illegal toss out of bounds. I'd love to see a player do that now and then hear their argument as to how the ball "slipped' or that it was a legitimate fumble. Otherwise it'd be 15 yards and run the clock or however they penalize that nowadays.
Josh join the group. Add your flavor of life to it. Srudoff just did and I think we may be in for something.
