Ohio State starting defensive tackle Doug Worthington was arrested this week in Columbus and charged with DUI. He is 2nd Buckeye arrested this month, following Eugene Clifford's July 7th arrest. Clifford was given his release from the program and has reportedly since transferred to Tennessee State. This is Worthington's first legal problem as a member of TUOS football team.I've said this before. College kids make mistakes. On the heels of Kevin Grady's .281, the news of Worthington blowing between a .08 and .17 on a breath test (The legal limit is .08.) is barely worth mentioning. However, it is the location of the arrest that has me chuckling...
According to the OSU police report, Worthington was cited for driving his white Cadillac Escalade 41 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone. He was stopped just outside Ohio Stadium, at the intersection of Woody Hayes Drive and Cannon Drive.
And oh yes Yost -- he does have a Buckstache....

Like I mentioned on Yahoo what college student drives a Cadillac Escalade that's not named Mo Clarrett? Do they give them out with scholarships down there in Cbus?
I think that Grady was also driving an Escalade.
In all fairness to this tUOS player, Cadillac has some fantastic rebates on these Escalades because of the gas crisis. I'll bet the alumni booster saved a ton of cash when he bought the vehicle for Worthington.
It's my Escalade and I can lend it out to whomever I wish.
End of discussion.

hey bigasshammm - any witty retort following andy's comments about Grady????
[crickets]
fwiw - grady was driving his dad's Danali while worthington was driving his dad's escalade
Kevin Sr is a mortgage broker w/ a reputation for having built a financial empire on predatory lending practices. him affording a Escalade or two is not too surprising.
so what does mr./mrs. worthington do for a living?
or do we have to listen to more chirping crickets?
I am glad to see that you all have the same thought as I, wtf? A Cadillac Escalade? Damn! (LOL@Phil!)
ok so here is what i've gathered so far, maybe someone can help me.
While driving on campus about 3 years ago I am passed by a BRAND NEW Acura TSX with the license plate "TD 7 GINN"
So teddy drove an Acura TSX in college and worthington drives a Cadillac Escalade?
What laws do I need to break to sign up?
I'm thinking that the money would have been better spent on a GPS locator.
I agree with andy, the location of the arrest is CLASSIC bucknut BRILLIANT!
not sure what his dad does but he went to a crazy expensive prep school in athol springs NY, st francis - i'm guessing if they can afford that (there are no athletic schollies at st francis) then an escalade would be no problem
only thing i found about his dad is that he played bball for Canisius and the university of colorado.
oh and about ted ginn - do you need a report on what his dad does???? (besides supply ohio state with star after star)
also fwiw he was driving a 2004 escalade - i'm sure not exactly what people were thinking when they heard about it
the crazy thing is that not ONE buckeye brought up grady's denali - none on any forums that i read. hell we only bring it up now because of people bringing up worthington's ride.
right, because a wolverine in a sweet ride---not implausible ergo unworthy of notation
bucknut in an escalade???
like wings on pigs--don't make no sense! ;-)
"right, because a wolverine in a sweet ride---not implausible ergo unworthy of notation"
Ohhh. So wrong. A wolverine in a sweet ride = Grand Theft Auto.
wait, I thought that all buckeyes get escalades when they enroll? now it's wings on a pig?
:)
forget who paid for the car. who pays for the gasoline?
winner!
