The annual NFL draft starts on Saturday and will continue through Sunday. When it is done there will be seven rounds and 256 picks. The new look Detroit Lions have the first overall pick and are expected to select Georgia QB Matt Stafford. Former Michigan players Morgan Trent, Terrance Taylor, Will Johnson, Tim Jamison and (long snapper) Sean Griffin are listed on NFL.com as potential picks. When one of these guys is taken they will extend the consecutive year streak (to 70) that a Michigan player has been drafted going back to 1939.
Last year, Michigan OT Jake Long was the first overall pick of the draft, selected by the Miami Dolphins. As the first selection Long joined former Wolverine great Tom Harmon (drafted #1 in 1941) as the only two players in school history to go with the top pick. Overall Michigan has had 43 first round picks and 364 total draftees over the years.
Edit: After looking at this wallpaper again, I have decided that it has too many images and looks too busy. I modified it HERE with only two pictures of Jake. I like it much better. Also I took out the typo (I had the word "from" twice). Duhhhhhh.

great wallpaper!!
love the font.
Looks like Braylon Edwards is available for a new team as well. ALl signs point to his being traded prior to the draft. Thus leaving the Clowns with 0 decent receivers. Brilliant.
I expect Braylon will soon join Mario Manningham and Amani Toomer with the NY Giants. It will be hard to see Brayon Edwards in that uniform.
the irony of Braylon to the Giants....
3 Michigan receivers being pitched to by Peyton's brother (who lost out on the Heisman to Woodson)
what are their Kevin Bacon numbers???
Both Desmond Howard and Anthony Carter finished their NFL careers as Detroit Lions.
The chances of him wearing the Honolulu Blue is pretty slim, but tell me how excited Braylon would be to play in Detroit ?
Braylon's not going to have much of a NFL career past the next few seasons if he can't learn to not drop the football. I still remember the Rose Bowl where he let that fly route go right through his hands that would have been a sure TD. After that it's like the team gave up.
Braylon needs to play in a warm (or indoor like Ford Field) climate. Cleveland is too cold to catch every football thrown your way.
