I don't know about anyone else, but I am really looking forward to watching LSU v Appalachian State (on Tivo, after the Michigan/Utah game) on Saturday. Since both teams are soooo fast, I may need to watch it in slow motion.
This is not sour grapes. Michigan was unprepared and paid the price. Appy State deserved to beat us last year. I know that lightning rarely strikes twice... but how fun would it be to see the Mountaineers shock the world again ?

That would be joy unleashed. However, I'm bitter.
I'm going to need antiacids to watch....
Appy wins? fine, may be a bit of justification but I still hold a grudge...
LSU wins? we look like even bigger punks AND we are reminded of the Les Miles drama.
and the announcers are sure to spend the whole damned game talking about Michigan this that and the other---no matter which team has the ball.
bleh.
I'm rooting for a tie.
i hear ya title ix - i was rooting for a tie after the 97 season and got my wish - hopefully you will too.....
sru--I thought you root for injuries? no??? (tee hee)
I devoutly hope that App St wins this game and see it as a strong possibility since LSU has less of a QB then MI does right now. But realistically LSU will probably trounce them and it will be more of an embarrassment to MI. If App ST does win though I think it will be a firm push for them to join the ranks of the rest of the division.
appy state doesn't meet the requirements for division 1-a. doesn't matter how many teams they beat
they have to average 15K fans over two years besides a number of financial requirements - their stadium only holds 16k and the population of their city, Boone, NC, is only 13K so they end up under the requirement every year.
now that's not to say that they couldn't work out a deal with Michigan to play their home games in the Big House, given their success there.
