NFL Week Eight

NFL update for the week.

• Tampa Bay CB Cato June made a season-high seven tackles against the Dallas Cowboys.
• Arizona WR Steve Breaston tied a career-high with nine receptions for 91 yards against Carolina Panthers.
• Cleveland Browns WR Braylon Edwards gained 64 yards on two receptions.
• New York Jets LB David Harris leads the team with 45 tackles. He also led the team last year with 127 tackles as a rookie.
• New Orleans Saints TE Mark Campbell grabbed two passes for 14 yards, including a one-yard touchdown catch against the San Diego Chargers.
• And on Monday night, Indianapolis Colts CB Marlin Jackson registered six tackles and forced one fumble against the unbeaten Tennessee Titans.

it will be interesting to see how many of these current players play in the NFL.......

Graham + Warren, yes.
Taylor + Mesko + Schilling, maybe.
Minor, likely not.
Everyone else, I don't see it.

remember- pro scouts/GMs aren't always influenced by college production, or lack thereof (see Matt Cassells). Morgan Trent still runs a very fast 40. same w/ some of our lame ass safties.

plus, they are all going to benefit from another off season/pre combine dose of physical conditioning. a few of these guys are going to look ripped when they weigh in in Indy next Spring.

pro scouts may look at some of those guys' physical talents and assume they can be "coached up" to play defense.

careful- if your luck is anything like mine, he'd end up playing like cato june or dhani jones and you'd have the double pain of watching him kill your pro team while remembering what he cost you in college!?!?!
