Phinally

Phillies are 2008 World Champions
This has nothing to do with Michigan football, but tonight I am truly happy.

It feels good.
I have not felt this good about a sports team since 97'.
Phils put it together with style.

I came here first this morning. I couldn't stay up to watch the game and when I turned on the news, of course it was all political and I couldn't wait to hear. I knew Andy would have something up if the Phillies won! I was right! The Phillies were my team as a young girl collecting baseball cards (oh how I wish I had those cards now!)

Is it possible now as a country that we can get off the Philly bandwagon and start talking about other teams. It sickened me (call me a homer all you want) when they came out with the story that it's been a combined 100 season since Philly won a championship. Boo f-n hoo. It's a feat to have 100 seasons without a championship when you have 4 professional teams? At best that's 25 years and really not that long. Cleveland only has 3 professional teams and it's been well over 100 seasons if you combine all 3 and go back to their last championship. Hell the Cavs have never won a championship and probably never will. the Clowns it's been like 50 some years. The Indians it's been about 60. But for whatever reason Cleveland remains "small market" and thus no one cares.

Done with my rant. Congrats Philly. Wish TB would have won but really didn't care either way. Baseball has become an American sham.

Hamm, your time is coming.

LeBron and the Cavs will win it soon.

I live and die with my Philly and Michigan teams. We make no apologies about how happy we are and the need to celebrate when we win. After years of watching others celebrate, I'm enjoying this one.

Go Phillies!!!

The Cavs will not win a big one until they get at least one or two more superstars to help Lebron. They will continue to not do that in the coming years and Lebron will leave. I don't care much for basketball so could care less as it is. Was just using them in the statement since they are one of Cleveland's three professional teams.
