
The 28th Michigan Miss Basketball was awarded today to 18 year old Jenny Ryan from Nouvel Catholic Central in Saginaw. Jenny has captained her team to 93-10 record over the past four years including a pair of Class C state championships and an Associated Press Class C player of the year award.
Ryan, is also her class president and carries a 4.3 grade-point average as the No. 2-rated student. She scored 1,405 career points with 4.3 steals per game over the four years. As a senior, she averaged nearly 17 points per game with 4.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds.
And she's coming to Michigan.

As an alum from a small "class c" high school -- I am surprised that MISS BASKETBALL came from a class "c" school. I am sure it does not happen very often.

in the last year or two there was another Miss Basketball from the 616 who went to a class "B" or "C" school in Ionia County.
