Congrats to Spawn of MZone reader "scottcrocker" for his winning 'Bo Schembechler' entry in the Spawnicon contest from February. I got an email from him last week looking for the winners announcement -- but as you know I was in Florida (and not checking the Spawn mail account). Sorry for the delayed celebration scott, I will be adding your iconic creation to our sidebar sometime today.It really was not much of a contest. Bo secured over 50% of the 180+ votes in the final poll. There is no truth to the rumor that Desmond Howard hired Urban Meyer to campaign for him during the last days of the voting. I am hoping that Maurice can comment on this crushing loss in his blog.

i want a recount! "Fire Lloyd- Hope!" was given a bad place on the ballot and its backers have trouble finding it.
also, the Miami precincts had a lot of confused voters and the hanging chads were never properly counted.
