ugh! after we left my nephew's tailgate at the corner of State Street and Hoover (where Spartan Dave gained new respect for Michigan undergrads) I tried to "catch up" with Spartan Dave and went wwwwaaaayyyy past him, so far past him, I do not remember the first half of the game...which turned out to be ok...very glad we had a "dd" for the drive back to the 616...
"... this one counts as more than one," Dantonio said. "We took a step forward in the eyes of the people in Michigan and toward changing the culture in this state."
Seriously? Anybody believe he believes that? One win in seven years...in the midst of our darkest times in decades?
"This was not the fall of Michigan football. That's not what this is about," Dantonio said. "This is a great win for our program."
Yeah, buddy. Clearly you beat us at the top of our game.
exactly. As Andy and I were leaving the stadium some 'bad ass' Sparty Lacrosse player (who was shorter than me) started chanting 'Little Bro-ther'. Andy pointed out that a) they just beat a 2-7 team in Michigan Stadium for the first time in 19 years.... I pointed out that b) they just beat up on a cripple--woo, congratulations. And someone else behind us suggested that c) Sparty act like they've been there before.
Great. Good for them. This was no 'beat down'. This was not, in my humble opinion, an impressive win for Sparty. 14-14 at the half???? We take the lead in the 3rd???? Well done Sparty, you have sooooo turned the corner. Whatever.
Here's the gosh honest unfortunate truth---without a QB, there is no hope for this offense. Threet tried his best but he just doesn't have it. I'm starting to feel badly for the kid. And thank goodness he is no Demetrius Brown or yesterday would have been truly ugly.
Once again the deciding factor of the game is the swiss cheese secondary employed by the Wolverines. How many third and longs can a team have and then still have someone completely wide open to throw to? Also missed tackles again lead to huge plays. If MI came into this season with the defense most thought they'd have this year they would have at least 3 more wins.
that wouldn't have been so if the replay officials knew about the "ground cannot cause a fumble" rule or the "an airborne player that makes contact only with the pylon is out of bounds" rule
When the ball is the only thing touching the ground and it is fumbled it is a fumble. Touching the ball to the ground does not make a player down therefore it is still a live ball. Had his knee/shoulder/head/elbow/some other part of his body been down at the time then no that would not have been a fumble. The refs got it exactly right. Now the TD catch where his foot hit the pylon at the top of the pylon but never the ground I think was a bad call or if not bad by the rules then it is a terrible rule.

Watching Gameday (from TUOS) before heading to our tailgate routine.
My favorite sign is the "Boeckman for Heisman" held up by a Buckeye fan wearing a #2 jersey.
???WTF???
I believe that's sarcasm.
Wow wv = press
Another good one...
"If Poo is cool, call me Joe Pa"
As I type this, I am sitting on T9s porch watch group after group of green clad visitors walking to the stadium with beer.
I am nice and welcome them to Ann Arbor with disarming charm.
They definately have hotter chicks than us.
WV = peris (although it looks like penis because of the font)
Just got back from the game.
We suck.
I thought that we played a decent game. It was disappointing to lose, however it was nice to see us play 3 quarters of decent ball.
Play a whole game! 3qtrs is not enough in the 9th week of the season!!!!

Anybody see Dantonio's comments after the game?

I agree that we need to show up for the entire game, however given the rest of the season to date, they at least made it a game! Meh.
I was truly hoping to avoid any comments from Dantonio. Seriously, he is a tool.
